TRISTAN

Was it so difficult for a mere civil servant to apologise for to an attorney? Or did she really think they's an attorney that could help her with the link. I shook my head and took a paper and wrote the link for her. I used the telephone to call Trisha and gave her the paper so she could give it to the 'PROUD' Irene.

Zaden walked into my office and found a seat opposite me. "You came so early to work today, aren't you tired."

"You didn't knock." I reminded him without sparing him a glance.

"Oops, sorry. I was just wondering did you give miss Cyrus what she was looking for? She looked so down when she was returning to the first floor." Zaden said worried.

"She called me an asshole and I said I wouldn't give her the link if she doesn't apologise, so she walked away." I told him with a little shrug.

Zaden looked at me with wide eyes. "Asshole?" He bursted into laughter until his eyes met mine for the first time since he came in. "Okay, I'm sorry. But the girl looked so innocent, why would she call you an asshole? And today."

"Not today, since before she came to CityHall, I ran into her in Palace Hall. She's so mean."

He nodded his head. "You guys sound really funny to me. What about Meira? Do you pick her calls?"

I leaned back in my chair and smirked. "I'm looking for a way to dump her out of my life."

Zaden looked at me in disbelief. "Oh come on, Tristan. That girl loves you so much that she could give anything to be with you." He took a deep breath. "I shouldn't expect less from you."

"Meira is cheating on me with your brother." I said. Maybe it was the right time to tell him everything.

He looked at me with wide eyes. "Dunstan? Are you serious?"

I didn't say anything. Just a nod.

"That rascal!" Zaden cursed. "How did you get to know?"

"She gave me her phone to see her birthday pictures and I saw her pictures with Dunstan in a place that looked like a hotel." I shook my head. "Don't tell Dunstan anything for the time being."

"They're so unbelievable. You didn't tell me anything and u was busy rooting for her. Huh, I'll allow you to deal with them. That rascal." Zaden said. "I'll leave, it's getting late."

I waved my hand at him and watched him exit from my office.

It was getting late and everyone was standing in front of the company waiting for their buses and taxi. I crossed my arms waiting for my driver to arrive because it seemed like it was going to rain.

"Hello, attorney Colloway." Rachel said, standing beside Samantha, Paul, Sarah Collins and Irene who was pressing her phone.

"Hi, all." I waved at them. They all turned their attention to my place and we started sharing greetings.

Irene was amazed. She looked like she was going to say something but she kept her lips sealed. I was expecting her to thank me and apologise but she looked away.

A bus arrived and Sarah and Paul got into the bus and drove away. Samantha stopped a taxi and she got in with Rachel, Irene was about to enter but Rachel closed the door. She opened the window and smiled at her. "We'll be suffocated if you come in, they's no space."

Irene frowned. "But i, uh. Okay."

They drove away and left her staring at them. She sat down on the bench waiting for the next taxi and my driver arrived. He got out of the car and gave me the key. "I'll find an uber, goodnight sir." He said and walked away. I thanked him and looked at Irene once again.
