The scandal

The Indian cricket team had arrived at the Mumbai airport to depart for New Zealand for a series of 2 tests and 5 odi's and everyone seemed to be quite excited joining in after a long holiday which had come as a rarity in their jam packed schedule. It had seemed so wonderful at first but then they had started missing these faces with whom they had learned to spend so much time. Everyone seemed to be blabbering about their vacations. Most of them had gone on their impending honeymoons. Dhoni, meanwhile had got a chance to spend some quality time with his daughter Ziva.
While most of them were chatting whole heartedly, Virat and Bhuvneshwar seemed exceptionally quiet. Raina came in and put a hand around Virat and questioned, 'How was your vacation? Where did you go?'
'Nowhere, just had a few shoots so was in Mumbai for a few days but that is about it.'
'Ok'
'Where did you take Priyanka?'
'Oh, I joined her in Paris'
'Great, you must have had real fun!'
'Yes, we went around places and stuff you know it was great. She is wonderful to be around and the fact that she will be with me for the rest of my life is like the best thing ever for me. I have never felt so secure in my life.'
'Great, good for you.'
'I heard about you and Anushka breaking up. Are you fine?'
'Yeah, it ended in a good way. There are no cold vibes between us. I mean, we just realised that we are totally different people and we struggled a lot to make ends meet but then you know you can't fight destiny. Or can you?', Virat answered getting a little philosophical.
'Hmm, so you guys still friends?'
'Yeah, completely'
'This friends after break up thing is a little dangerous though. You know what I am saying?' Raina said giving a wink to him.
'Yeah I know what you are saying. Priyanka is making you watch too many dramatic Hindi movies', Virat replied casually with a smile creeping up his face.
'I am telling you man. Movies are made on real life situations only.'
'Shut up! Will you?'
'Your wish, my command captain', Raina said bowing down a little.
'Complete drama', Virat remarked.
They were cut short in their conversation by Rohit.
'It is almost time for boarding guys. C'mon let's go. The beautiful New Zealand awaits us in all its grace.'
'The effects of being in love. Everything seems beautiful. Isn't it?', Ajinkya teased Rohit.
'Yeah', Rohit let out a sigh.
'Let's go', Virat finally added.

Once on board everybody was once again in their elements. While some chose to sleep away the entire journey, others started listening songs on their I-pods and others chose talking or more effectively gossiping.
'So, how is life after marriage?', Rohit probed Raina.
'Great', Raina replied as though bored by this question as he had been asked this several times.
'So how many kids are you planning?'
'What?', Raina almost spit his soft drink.
'Normal question. You must have thought of it.'
'No, I have just got married dude'
'So, what If you want two and she wants just one? You can have a fight on this matter. That is why I am going to discuss all of this before marriage.'
'Good for you. But we are not going to fight on this matter.'
'Oh ok. That's what you are saying now.'
'Rohit, please. Virat please swap places with me. I will go crazy with him.'
'You want to save yourself and make me the victim?', Virat added jokingly.
'I am surprised he hasn't taken his airplane nap till now', Ajinkya said.
'Jinx, I am gonna kill you. I thought you were on my side.', Rohit warned Ajinkya
'Dude being on your side is like shaking hands with danger.', Ajinkya laughed.
This fun conversation carried on throughout the flight. Each one ended up taking another's side once in a while.
The announcements were made of them reaching the New Zealand airport and everyone was bound with excitement to visit around the place once again.
The team bus carried them to their hotel and they decided to take some rest before starting anything significant. Each one crawled their way through the lobby intending to get away with the jet lag.
After about three hours when all of them met once again at the table Rohit indicated Virat to sit next to him at the dinner table.
'You want to tell me something?', Virat questioned.
'Dude you are dead', Rohit exclaimed.
'What? What are you talking about?'
'Just have a look at this', Rohit said handing him his phone.
Virat looked closely at the video which Rohit had opened for him.His expressions changed once he was done watching the video.
'Who has done this?', Virat showed his desperation to know the name.
'I don't know. It's been doing the rounds of Internet since morning. If Jinx came to know about this, he will kill you.'
'I know but I want to know who has done this.'
Virat left the dinner table indicating he had a stomach bug. He went straight to his room and started looking at his phone. He needed to talk to her. He did not know how she would be feeling. He wanted to know it. And then just in a second he dialled Aarushi's number.
'Hello', a similar voice greeted him.
'Hello, Aarushi how are you?', Virat sounded a little tensed.
'Good, long time no see. You are in New Zealand? Why are you calling me from there? Is something the matter?', she asked.
'Relax Aarushi. Is there a rule that I cannot call you?'
'No, but you know it has been such a long time.'
He had understood till then that she hadn't seen the video in which Virat and Aarushi had been kissing. The video which had garnered around a million views. The video which had brought their past in the open.
'Yeah, but it feels so good to talk to you again.'
' I know Virat why you have called.'
'You do?'
'I had seen the video in the morning itself when one of my colleagues had informed me.'
'So?'
'So what? Why should we be ashamed of it? It is against laws to breach someone's privacy. One who has done it should be ashamed of himself. We were in a relationship Virat. And a kiss is token of affection. I, for one, am ashamed of nothing.'
'What about Jinx?'
'I don't know if bro has seen it or not but if he overreacts, just let me know. I'll talk to him.'
'Thanks, Aarushi.'
'Not again Virat. Let's meet up sometime when you come back.'
'Yeah, sure.'
And they hung up after that.
