'Virat', Aarushi got up from her work and called him up as he was so busy watching the football match.
'Aarushi, anything you have to say can wait for ten minutes. Please', Virat said without taking his eyes off the screen.
'OK', she said as she knew nothing that she would say could deter him from watching the final moments of the match.
After about half an hour, Virat came up to Aarushi and he was just about to ask her that what she was saying before when he saw that she was fast asleep on the sofa. He smiled a guilty smile and then went and picked her up and put her in the bed. He was ashamed of himself a little bit. He didn't even know if she had eaten anything or not. All of this made him feel real bad. He covered her with the sheets and saw the comfort on her face. She really must have been so tired. She hadn't slept nicely a day before too due to excitement, as she had told. And today too she had been busy with her work. He wanted to make up for not listening to her but he knew that now was not the time. He himself was a little tired and hungry. But the sleepy eyes defeated the hungry stomach and he went off to sleep even before he knew.
'Aarushi, c'mon wake up. Have some coffee', Virat had woken up before her and even ordered a coffee for her. He kissed her cheek and told her to get up. It was just 7 but she needed to eat something.
'Hmm, wait', Aarushi shrugged him off.
Virat watched her begging for a few more minutes like a kid. It was almost 7:30 when she finally woke up rubbing her eyes.
'What is the time? Oh it's just 7:30. Virat, what is your problem. You don't like seeing me sleeping?', she asked lifting up her mug of coffee.
'Baby, now that you ask it that way, I love seeing you sleep but only with me. Once I have woken up, you should wake up too or I am going to feel all alone without you', Virat said almost making a puppy face.
'Oh, shut up! By the way, I was sleeping on the sofa as far as I remember. When did I wake up and come here?', she further implored.
'Well, a kind hearted and chivalrous man that I am, I could not see a lady sleeping on the sofa while I slept on the bed. But, Aarushi, you should hit the gym once again. I was going to die lifting you up like that', Virat said grabbing all her attention by teasing her. She was perfect and he knew that but he was in one of his funny moods right now.
'Haha, very funny', she said reading the childishness in his eyes.
'So, what's the plan for the day?', he asked her.
'Nothing, I have to just go to the office today for maybe an hour or so for a meeting and oh I forgot telling you!! No, I didn't you were too busy watching football. I have to go to a party tonight and now you have to come with me. You have no other choice', she said.
'Ok, I would come with you. What time do you have to go to the office?', he asked her.
'2 in the afternoon', she replied.
'Fine then we will take a brunch at around 11:30 and leave directly from there. Ok?'
'Ok', she said and went to take a bath.
Virat sat down watching the television. He had switched his phone off and he was enjoying his time just being around his wife without anyone disturbing him.
'Virat, could you stop watching the television now?', Aarushi said coming out of the washroom.
'Why? You want something?', he asked her concerned.
'No, but you are really getting on to my nerves with all the football that you are watching', she said combing her hair.
Virat switched off the television and stood just beside her.
'What do you want?', he asked kissing her on the neck.
'Virat, please', Aarushi said blushing.
'What, you are my wife. Who are you blushing from? This was not the case yesterday. Huh?', he asked her.
'Shut up! I am hungry', she said.
'Me too. I want to eat you', Virat joked.
'Arghhh, Virat. I am serious. Please order something', she told him.
'No, let's go outside and eat something. I am getting tired of this room', Virat said grabbing her hand.
'Ok, fine. Let's go', she finally said.
They locked the door behind them and moved to a restaurant where they had a hearty breakfast. Aarushi started off as she could eat anything and everything but by the end of it, she seemed so full that she vowed on not eating for at least another day.
It was almost 11 when they left the restaurant and to pass time they went to a museum. Aarushi was the one who had suggested so and she seemed to be enjoying herself completely. Virat tried hard to concentrate but failed miserably. He however occupied himself by giving people autographs and posing for selfies. For the first time, he wasn't irritated by all this at all. It was more interesting than the museum, he concluded. There were many boys who wanted to meet Aarushi too and Aarushi was happy to oblige them with photographs. Virat, however, could not keep his green eye hidden and it was not long before he decided they go some place else.
'So, people can be your fans but not mine?', she asked him with a grin.
'You are too special to be shared', he replied.
'Make all the excuses you want. I saw my jealous Cheeku', Aarushi said playfully.
'Ok, I was a little bit but that's because those people don't know you and still are attracted towards you. I am afraid how much they'll love you if they ever get to see how beautiful your heart is', Virat explains it to her.
'I, with all my heart, am just yours. And you must remember that, dumbo', she said patting his head.
'And they say there's heaven above', Virat let our a sigh.
