The week had almost come to an end and Virat and Aarushi were ready to leave the city of dreams- Mumbai to Delhi. Aarushi though suggested that they meet Ajinkya before going back, to which Virat readily agreed. Virat took the wheel this time and drove to Ajinkya's house.
'Hello, bro, look who's here!!', Aarushi almost shouted.
'Is there a time slot wherein you will grow up?', Ajinkya asked her.
'No, there isn't I ain't growing up under your watch. By the way where is my mommy?', she said.
'Come inside, you'll get to meet everybody. Leave a little excitement outside the door or mom won't be able to contain all of it', Ajinkya said mockingly.
'My mom can handle me very well. You need to shut up and make way for me. Where is your wife, by the way and my Sanchi?', she asked him.
'They have gone shopping today leaving me to guard the house', Ajinkya said with a laugh.
'See that's what the ladies do to us', Virat joined in.
Aarushi went to her mom and started a conversation which Virat knew wasn't going to end anytime soon. He too touched her feet and took her blessings and cautioned Aarushi that they needed to leave within an hour.
'Ok, so what are you doing all alone?', Virat asked Ajinkya.
'Nothing, was just talking with mom about buying a new property', Ajinkya said giving Virat a glass of water.
'Oh, where?', Virat asked with interest.
'Bandra', he said.
'Ok, have you seen the place?', Virat further asked.
'Yeah, I went and saw it a day before. It seems quite good. I am thinking of putting it on rent for now and then selling it later at a good price', he explained.
'Ok, that sounds good'
They left after 45 minutes and Aarushi was visibly very happy. Virat called up his driver at the hotel from where he dropped them to the airport. It took an hour and few minutes and they were back in Delhi. Virat's brother had come to pick them with his son, Aarav. He was almost 10 and he loved his uncle who loved spoiling him with toys and stuff.
'Hello, guys', Vikas, Virat's brother, said and gave a hug to Virat.
'Hello, Aarav', Aarushi shifted her gaze towards her nephew whom she absolutely adored.
'Hello, aunty. I missed you. Mommy wouldn't take me to picnic. She said she would do so when you come back. We would go now, na?'
'Yes my baby. We would all go together', Aarushi hugged him close.
'Hello, champ', Virat joined in.
Vikas motioned them to walk to the car and they all moved towards it. After an hour's ride which became interesting due to Aarav, they finally reached home.
Aarushi and Virat went and met his mom first thing after reaching home. After that, everyone sat together and chit chatted. It had been a long time and everyone had been busy with their work. Now, they had finally made time for each other and everybody enjoyed it.
'Phew, what a week', Aarushi said sitting down on the bed.
'You want to take a nap', Virat asked her.
'No, come here', she said to him motioning him to sit next to him. 'So, you remember you asked me something about kids?', she began.
'Yes, you want to discuss about it', Virat asked excitedly.
'Actually, Virat I want to say something and I don't think you're going to like it', Aarushi said taking his hand in hers.
'Say it Aarushi, don't lock your words in a fear of me liking it or not', Virat told her.
'I don't want to have kids right now. Will you be okay with it?', Aarushi said in a single breath.
'Woah...I mean yeah', Virat said with as much conviction as he could because his heart was a little broken by what Aarushi had said. But he knew it was not his choice alone and he couldn't imagine himself forcing her for something she didn't want.
'Virat, here, look at me', Aarushi shifted herself to the side he was facing and said, 'I don't want to hurt you. You know, I love you. But this is something I don't want at this moment.'
'You don't have to explain yourself to me, Aarushi. Yes, I feel a little bad but that does not mean that I would tell you what to do and what not pushing aside your wishes. Your wish is my priority. You are my priority. Life is a long journey and we will have loads of time to have as many kids as we want', Virat said with a smile on his face.
'And Virat, I have to tell you something else too', she further said.
'Yes, my madam', Virat said with a sigh.
'I was on the pill that day', Aarushi said a little scared.
'It's okay, Aarushi. I'll be careful now that you have told me', Virat said.
'No, I didn't mean it that way', Aarushi said.
'Aarushi, why don't you just relax and we'll figure things out as they come up', Virat told her.
Virat left her watching television and went for a long drive. He was a little disappointed that Aarushi had hidden this fact from him. He also blamed himself for showing extra excitement due to which she could never tell him what she wanted. Maybe she was just scared of breaking his dream. But she herself was his dream. How could she ever think of breaking his dream? And then the pill? Why did she take matters in her own hands without even discussing anything with him? Everything was a big question mark in Virat's head right now. Why had she made him a stranger to her heart? This very question unsettled his entire being.
