Forever? Forever

'Hello aunty', Sanchi spoke in the bits of words she knew.

'Hello, honey. You have grown up so much. I have missed you the most, sweetheart. Here, take these chocolates and give me a hug', Aarushi said embracing her.

'You guys will end up spoiling my daughter', Radhika said welcoming the both of them.

'Well, kids need to be pampered specially if they are this cute. Isn't it Sanchi?', Aarushi said planting a kiss on her cheek.

'Hey, you aunty!! Don't you enchant her with your sweet talks. Sanchi is her uncle's kiddo. True that little baby?', Virat said pulling her towards him.

'Ok, ok you two. Leave her for sometime. I have to her her dressed. I'll bring you something to eat', Radhika said.

'No, we'll help ourselves. You go with Sanchi', Aarushi said moving towards the kitchen.

Virat and Aarushi were still sipping their tea when Raina and his wife joined them.
'Hello', Raina said breaking their conversation.

'Hello, how have you been?', Virat said giving him a hug.

'Good. You seem to have disappeared after your marriage. It is all your fault Aarushi', Raina exclaimed.

'Yeah, yeah as though he listens to me', Aarushi said.

'When do I not listen to you?', Virat asked her joining in the conversation.

'I'll tell you. When I tell you to switch off the lights while leaving the room. When I tell you to put your shoes in a proper place. When I tell you to eat at the right time. When...'

'Alright got you. I know you have an entire list', Virat said cutting her short.

'See, now tell me is it my fault?', she asked Raina.

'No, not at all', Raina said giving a wink to Virat.

'Anyway, where is your little prince? What was his name? Shaurya?', Aarushi asked Priyanka.

'Oh, Yuvi took him no sooner than we entered the house. He practically bribed my son with chocolates and then there was no looking back. Yuvi uncle seemed the best person in the whole world', Raina explained it to Aarushi.

'That's how it goes in the kids' world', Aarushi said putting her hands up.

'There he is', Priyanka said looking towards the door where Yuvraj was coming in carrying a boy of about an year and a half.

'Shaurya baby forgot your mama?', Priyanka said extending her hands to take him.

'He sure did', Yuvraj answered on his behalf and let out a laugh.

'So, Yuvraj where's Hazel and your daughter Yashi?', Virat quizzed him.

'Well, as much as they wanted, they couldn't make it. Actually, Haze had to visit her mom and dad's for some property issue', he stated. 

'Ok, and you are stealing other people's kids without them?', Raina said sarcastically.

'Hey, they are all my kids. I am their favorite Uncle. Ask any of them', Yuvraj said confidently.

'Yeah, yeah uncle now come and have something', Virat said imitating a kid. 

'Hmm, no vodka, beer or wine? What kind of a party is this guys?', Yuvraj asked Ajinkya who had just entered the hall. 

'Well, it is a party for kids. No hard drinks man. Sorry. Try some cola today for a change', Ajinkya said.

'Kids, see today your Uncle is giving a big sacrifice. Cheers to all of us', Yuvraj said lifting the glass of a soft drink. 

The rest of the night was no different with each bantering the other. It could be seen what they had missed in these days and everyone was excited to meet each other. Virat looked around the room and saw Aarushi. Wow, it all seemed a dream. She was his. All his. In her entirety. And some years back that all seemed a dream. She was just perfect. He couldn't imagine how lucky he had been to be chosen by destiny to be at her side forever. Forever, he said not even realizing the intensity of the word.
