'Aarushi, please come inside', Virat said after a good fifteen minutes that Aarushi had spent outside in the cold.

'Virat, just let me be', Aarushi replied.

Virat joined her on the  balcony.
'Why are you hurting yourself if you think it is all my fault? Come inside', Virat said trying his best to make her go inside.

'Virat, please leave me alone. I do not want to talk to you right now. Please', Aarushi said without looking at him.

'Aarushi, please we can talk but please don't do this. You will catch a cold. And you do so very easily. Come on', he said grabbing her hand.

Aarushi left his hand gently and went inside. Virat was at least relieved that she had gone inside. Now, he could think about sorting the issue.

'Virat, I want to go home. Can we?', she asked him.

'Sure, I'll just grab the keys', Virat said picking up the keys from the adjoining room.

Destiny had no comfort whatsoever for them that night. As soon as they sat in the car and Virat turned on the radio, a sad song started playing. Aarushi did not have any patience left for this now. She simply turned off the radio. The screeching silence haunted the two throughout their way back home. Virat wanted to say so many things to her but he did not want to take the calm that had finally descended upon her. He, however, had no idea of the battle raging within her.

The car finally came to a halt before the house and Aarushi left in silence no sooner had the ignition been turned off. Virat put the car in the parking slot of their house and came a little while later.

Aarushi went in and shut herself in the washroom. Even as a kid, she had always considered the washroom a perfect place for putting out all her grief. Tears trickled down her face without a care. She had no questions but was surprised to find so many unnecessary answers from her life.

Virat entered the room and he knew where his wife was as soon as he found her absent from the room. He thought it best not to disturb her and let the pain flow out from her system. Virat had somehow calmed down. He was now worried about Aarushi. He knew he had hurt her and possibly more than she had hurt him.

She finally came in the room after about 20 minutes. She had changed into her pyjamas and just came to the bed saying nothing. After settling her pillow she just asked Virat:
'You didn't have dinner. Should I bring something for you?'

'No, Aarushi, look I am sorry. It was my fault. I misinterpreted you and...'

'Virat, please just sleep if you don't want anything. I have had enough for the day', she said and turned her head to the other side.

Virat thought it was best to remain silent for the time being. Aarushi was in a fit of anger. She needed to sleep it out. Virat, too, needed to find his ground towards the truth that he said and the truth his heart said.

It was almost 6 when the alarm clock disturbed Aarushi from her sleep. She had not slept nicely at all last night but she knew she needed to wake up. As usual, she went to the gym that Virat had constructed so meticulously at their house. He had been really particular about every single machine that had been put out there. Aarushi had never skipped her routine when not travelling but today her body wanted to just run away from all of it. She had skipped dinner and therefore had no energy, whatsoever, left within her. But she made her protein shake and hit the ground running. In fact her mind demanded her to go that extra mile today. She was stuck in the battle between her body and her mind and she knew that she would let her mind win.

After a rigorous workout of about an hour, Aarushi went to her room and relaxed for a while. Virat was still sleeping. He wasn't going to wake up before 9. Everybody else in the house was asleep too. It was a Sunday and everyone usually woke up late on Sundays. Aarushi was feeling a little sweaty and therefore decided to take a bath. She spent a good one hour in the washroom pampering herself with the hot water. It seemed to calm her down. She even washed her hair. After it was all done, she felt a little rejuvenated.

Next, she decided to look for any new assignment that she might have got. She checked her mail and had indeed got three assignments. She started working on the first one deciding the colour coding and fabric and making the profile of the garment that was to be made. She made some coffee for herself and after that she was so engrossed in the assignment that she hardly had any idea of what went around in her surroundings.

'Aarushi, please give me some coffee baby', Virat woke up and said his usual lines. He had forgotten all about their fight yesterday for a moment.

Aarushi looked at his direction and said:
'I am a little busy, I'll just finish with this last piece and then I'll bring you your coffee', and she got back to her work.

'Aarushi, please look at me', Virat said now fully aware of the situation.

Aarushi had mellowed down a bit. She looked in his direction.

'I am really very sorry. Please do anything with me but don't remain angry with me. I promise you I'll never behave in the manner that I behaved yesterday', he said holding her hand.

'Let's just forget what happened yesterday. Maybe it was just a bad day', Aarushi said to him.

'Come here then. I have missed you so bad. It felt as though I was gonna lose you', Virat said giving her a bear hug.

'Virat, these things test our patience and love. If we lose before them, then how will we fight the battle of life? We'll emerge only stronger from here on', Aarushi said.

'Ok, madam will you give me the pleasure of taking you out on a date today?', Virat asked her.

'The pleasure would be completely mine sir'

'Be ready at 8 today then. We'll go for dinner', Virat said and moved to the washroom.

Aarushi knew that the matter that was on debate had not yet been sorted out but for the moment she was glad that things seemed normal between the two of them. Life was one huge journey and she did not want to spoil the little moments by worrying about the future. So, she gave up on the thought and became excited about spending some time with her man.
