After that statement, Bump showed Edalyn Clawthorne the most surprised and incredulous face that a sorcerer from The Boiling Isles could ever make.
"Yeah... I know it doesn't make sense but it's like this... What do you want me to tell you Bumpikins, I don't know if Raine is Alex's Pama"

"Which face?" Our dear headmaster said in response to Clawthorne, recovering from the trance he had fallen into.
"The one you were doing just a second ago, right?" He replied back, and what else if not, Eda.
"Listen, can you help me or not to cure this plague here?" "Which seriously, jokes aside, I'm really worried about Alex and I don't even think I can take her to a healer..."
"Why don't you see a healer?" Bumpikins said perplexed.
"Do you think?! It would be a stroke of genius to go to a healer, bring a little girl with me, have to present her as my daughter to a subordinate of Belos aka the man who wants me dead?!" He answered in one breath, and ironically, Eda.
"No, you're right..." The principal said, a little embarrassed by the statement he said just before.

"What's that? Shoot."
"What if I called a healer from my school, a teacher or a senior? They are all under my wing and the emperor has no eyes in this school, the Hexside is his blind spot" Bump said finishing the sentence in a proud tone, as if he were proud that the Hexside was not under the strict control of the emperor.
“Would you really do that?” Edalyn asked in surprise, disbelief and doubt.
"Obviously, even though I don't fully respect your lifestyle, I don't want this little girl to lose you" "I only know one thing for sure: you will treat her well, perhaps even too well, and I don't know how the emperor would treat her, I don't I want to think about it..."
"But promise me one thing..."

"I want to be part of the little girl's life, I know we don't get along and you probably hate me but think it might be good if you have someone to lean on; when you lose control, when you have to go away on various missions."
The owl woman was hesitant so Bump continued his speech.
"Edalyn, if you want to raise this little girl in the dark about the world, you have to have a hand, you can't do it alone because sooner or later this little girl will want and deserve someone other than you, right?"
"Okay..." Clawthorne said still a little uncertain. "Then you will be Uncle Bambi" she said out of the blue, picking up her joking tone.
"And what is this "Bambi"?..." The principal asked, somewhat perplexed.
"Ah, it's simply the name of a deer from a movie in the human world," Eda said nonchalantly.
"And what would a 'fawn' be?" Bump asked again.
"That would be..." Eda burst out laughing, not being able to believe that Bump didn't know Bambi or what a deer was, yes he had never been to the real human world but... "Okay Bumpikins, never mind maybe One day I'll show you Bambi and you'll understand what a fawn is."
"Okay". "I'm going to get Jenkinsmeyer. You wait here for me."

Ok, i don't know what to say, maybe sorry for not posting for like one month?! I don't know.
Sorry but this period of Christmas it was a really mess period because with the preparations for today, with school I have short time so I'm very sorry but I only managed to publish today. Having said that, Merry Christmas (if in your time zone today is Christmas, because from me, in Italy yes but I don't know about you.
And for those who haven't understood what "Pama" means, it would be a union of dad and mom, in Italian papá and mamma, I decided to do this because personally I didn't like having to say parent every time.
*WARNING* Which every now and then I will say either "Pama" or "Mapa".
