What's taking Bump so long?
Are we sure that instead of calling Jenkinsmeyer he went to Belos?! Or even worse.  From Lilith.
If he doesn't come back in a minute I'll take Alex and leave. I'll find another way to cure her.
"Edalyn we're back."
"Finally." She immediately replied exasperated and relieved that she didn't have to leave and find another way to care for her daughter.
"Oh, calm down Edalyn. We had to walk through an entire school."
"Mmm ..." She said Eda and then crossed her arms and stuck her tongue out in an offended way, in a somewhat childish way, let's say to Eda.
"Okay, Edalyn. Where's the little girl?" Jenkinsmeyer asked the owl woman ignoring the bickering between her and her employer.
"She is here." Clawthorne said, pointing to a point not far from there, near the window to ensure that her daughter had a little light but far enough away not to be seen and not risk someone noticing her.
"OK thank you." "We better get to work because I have another lesson soon" Jenkinsmeyer said as he approached the little girl to see what was wrong with her.
"Edalyn you should thank Mrs. Jenkinsmeyer because she came here at the expense of her lunch break and a break from those wild and disrespectful children." Bumpkins said, looking at Eda, more to pass the time than anything else.
"Don't worry, principal, I'm here calmly and even though my students are pests, I love teaching and I love my students." Mrs. Jenkinsmeyer replied, meanwhile visiting Alex.
"The first teacher who doesn't regret choosing to teach." "You have my respect, I couldn't bear so many children at once, I almost can't even bear my own daughter."  Edalyn said jokingly with great irony.
"Eda stop it." The principal said in exasperation, demonstrating this by placing his hand in front of her face.
"No." Eda said, still joking and sticking her tongue out in the most childish way in the world, or rather in the Boiling Islands.

_--...a little while later...--_

"Okay Edalyn." "Alex is actually in better shape than she seems but it seems like she had something that was bothering her and the only way to make it clear to us was to cry."  "That was why she was a pain in the ass."  And at this last statement our dear Edalyn Clawthorne couldn't stand it anymore and started laughing, she didn't know why either but she did it anyway, not caring about all the other people in the room like: her daughter, Mrs. Jenkinsmeyer and Bumpikins, so no big tragedy.

"Ok Edalyn calm down I don't think Mrs. Jenkinsmeyer is finished." Bump said, resigned by his former student's behavior.
"Actually, Principal, I would have finished, I simply advise Edalyn to give her daughter these medicines for the next few weeks."  The woman said handing her the so-called medicine.
"Okay, thanks..." Edalyn said as she hesitantly took the medicine.

_--...the bell rings...--_

"Well I guess my time has come, literally."  Mrs. Jenkinsmeyer said wryly.
"Thank you so much Octavia for your help and secrecy." Bump said happy to have such a good and dedicated teacher at her school.
"You're welcome, Principal, I did it with pleasure." "Just let me see this little angel every now and then." She said tenderly, referring to Alex still sleeping not far away.
"Thank you so much Mrs. Jenkinsmeyer I really don't know what I would have done without you and let me know how I can repay you, don't hesitate to ask for her."  Eda said, truly surprised by the gesture that woman had done for her and her daughter.
"Don't worry, I just need to see this little angel every now and then." She replied the woman referring to Alex intending to sleep not far from there.

_--......--_

Well personally I hope you enjoyed the chapter and for clarity "Octavia" is a fictional name I gave to Mrs. Jenkinsmeyer since it seemed appropriate to give her her own name.
I don't know when the next chapter will come out or what she will talk about or if there will be an exorbitant time jump but what do you want, I don't know what to tell you😅.
I hope the next chapter arrives in a decent time and wish everyone a (belated) happy new year.
(Oh and please tell me if you are enjoying the story and advice on how to continue or even CONSTRUCTIVE criticism).
Having said that, hello everyone.

Oh and then I'll put a photo of Alex here.
