Eda made that decision reluctantly but thinking of the good of her little girl, she decided to get a small baby carrier, she didn't know what it was called but it allowed Alex to hide well between her mother's cloak, and to hang down, something that it amused her and cradled her. There was a small downside, it made Eda look pregnant (but come on, she'll never be 😅).
As time passed, the Owl woman became more and more skeptical, but above all frightened of the decision that she had made a few hours earlier.
What if someone saw her? What if someone saw Alex? What if on her way to her former school someone stopped her, like the emperor's coven (if we can call it that)? And if...a little too many "ifs" don't you think. Eda was getting anxious and if the owl woman gets anxious there are two small problems either she makes rash decisions in which in a very near future she will regret or she loses control releasing, abandoning herself to the beast within her, a beast that tries to repress all his life that has influenced his every decision. That she made her distance herself from the dearest people she has, or rather... that she had.
Or rather the only person she truly cares about...that is Raine.
(To be clear, Eda in this period has practically no contact with her family and she thinks that they hate her and above all she thinks she hates her family (which is not true)).
Eda left her messed up house and, hoping not to be seen, she took Oslbert and she set off towards the Hexside.
(To be clear, in an attempt to get out she certainly didn't spare the jokes and "reprimands" from Hooty aka her favorite pain in the ass).
When she arrived at Hexside she tried not to be seen by those myriads of students forced to study only one type of magic. Poor little ones. She safely entered the school she took the nearest entrance to the room that leads to all the rooms (for example there is an entrance to the punishment room, for those who don't remember).
She exited the room (which I would nickname "the room of necessity") from the exit closest to the entrance to Bumpikins' office.
As soon as she was sure that no one was nearby, luckily everyone was in class, she entered the office, which she knew like the back of her hand, of her old principal.
Bumpikins was there in his usual armchair, in the same place that it was when Eda was still a student and was summoned, the usual gold pad with her name engraved on it, the centuries-old books, most likely all boring and if by chance there were any among them It was an interesting one. Eda would never have believed it. Everything was in its usual place, the objects, Bump... everything except one thing... on that chair that had kept Edalyn company all her days in that school (soon she spent more time on that chair than in the classrooms), there was another person, a rather unusual person who should not have been there. Raine. Her Raine._--..............--_
I hope you enjoyed this chapter and I also apologize for all the spelling and punctuation errors but English is not my native language and therefore this story was written first in my native language (Italian) and will then translate (with translator) in English😅.
And to be clear Eda is holding Alex the same way she Is holding King in this photo. With that said, goodbye and see you next chapter.
