A sunny school day
, no worry at all.
Then ,
after lunch with my parents
, feeling sick to my stomach
, without a word
, up the stairs
, into the bathroom
, lights flashing !
, and sirens blaring !
Pop !
Not awake ,
Nor alive ,
but on death's door...
In the embrace of heaven's
utopia:
greener grass
, flowers' smelling sweeter
, and the one I love the most -
Ma.
The smile on her face
, disappearing into shock ---
and a switch flips.
Waking up in a hospital bed
, hooked up to millions of machines...
