Wysteria laid on her bed, too tired to get up. She lacked the energy to so much as whisper at whoever was knocking so annoyingly on her door.

Done with waiting for an answer, and fearing the worst possible scenario, Loki burst through her doors. His eyes instantly landed on her as she laid in bed, curled up in the fetal position, all of her covered by her blanket except for the white hair.

"Wysteria, are you alright," he asked as he hurried over to her, kneeling down to see her face.
Her grey eyes opened to look into his green ones, though her grey eyes now had a black ring around the outside.

"I'm so tired," she whispered so quietly that he almost missed it.
He brushed some of her hair out of her face and through the rest of her hair.
It had been a week since the check-up at the infirmary, and she had been fine until now.

"Too tired to fight me about going to the infirmary," he whispered, trying to smile at her.
She smiled faintly, saying nothing back.

As he scooped her into his arms, he felt his breath hitch in his throat.

The warmth she always brought to him was replaced with coldness that only he had ever known.
She cuddled closer to his chest, closing her eyes as the coldness suffocated her.

He ran with her in his arms, hurrying to the infirmary.
He slid into the room, startling the nurse.
"She's weak and cold," he cried out.

The nurse ushered them to the soul forge where Loki placed her cold, weak form.
She had lost the energy to keep her eyes open.

As the images appeared over her body, the nurse gasped and Loki's eyes widened.

The blackness that resided inside of Wysteria had grown both in size and intensity of darkness.

With no other ideas, Loki yelled, "Guards! Guards, come quick!"
As two asgardian guards came rushing in, Loki ordered, "Fetch Fandral and have him bring Enya here immediately. And fetch my brother, he must see this."

As the guards left in a hurry, Loki rushed to Wysteria's side.
Her breathing was steady, obviously she was asleep.

Loki sat there worriedly as he looked at the girl's peaceful face. Her usually tan skin seemed pale, her warmth gone and replaced with freezing coldness.

He gently brushed his fingers across her cheek and through her hair, fearing life if he lost her, though she was not his to lose...

His head snapped upwards as figures ran into the room. Thor in the lead, with Fandral behind and Enya in his arms. Her usually pale white skin was now a sunburned color, heat radiating off of her.
Fandral was as scared and nervous as Loki, who stared at his brother Thor with wide eyes, begging him to fix it.

As Fandral laid Enya on the soul forge, an image appeared over her much like that of Wysteria, though it was a blazing white instead of deep blackness.

As Loki looked at his brother, he noticed the troubled expression.
Loki narrowed his eyes and shouted at his brother, "Your precious book Thor, where is it? Tell me how it's going to save them. Tell me!"

Thor flinched at the desperation in his brother's voice.
But the book, the many books he seeked on midgard... None held answers for such things.

Loki sneered, "Maybe next time you will listen to me when I tell you those pathetic humans could never have the answers we need."

Thor stormed over to his brother, prepared to put him in his place, when Wysteria reached her hand out and grasped Loki's hand.
Both brothers looked down at her as she opened her eyes.

"Do not fight. Many things are worth arguments, but not this. Give this time, I feel we'll be alright."

Loki's anger fell away as he sat back down, both hands grasping her smaller hand.
"Even at your possible worst, you are still the most positive girl I have ever known," Loki whispered.

She smiled weakly and said, "Of course I am. Someone has to be. And what do you mean my possible worst?"

He chuckled as he said, "Thank the stars for that humor. How would we get by without it?"
She closed her eyes with a smile as he pressed her fingers to his lips.

Fandral sat by Enya's bedside. He had found her just the same as Loki had, though she was sweating up a storm.
But now, after having been out for at least an hour, her eyes opened. He was shocked as her dark brown eyes now had a pure white outline.
