The team thought they were on something but remembered. They are cops. Judge Delilah Washington read all of the adoption papers with the children's names on it, and then She nodded her head of approval.
The judge looked up at the team with a soft smile, with Everest having a bright, happy smile.
"I've been told that the children trust you all the most, they love you the most, and I know that they'll do everything in their power to be with you all because they have found loving people to be with," Judge Delilah Washington explained.
"And I know you all must feel the same way towards the children, and I believe that they will grow big and strong on how much you love them. I can see it in your eyes that you wanna be these kids guardians, but you should be their parents that they need, and I know that You all won't let them down," Judge Delilah Washington explained.
"Although, there will be time for healing, replacing bad memories into good ones and time to feel better and safe, the children will be just fine, I would even do the honors of allowing You to adopt all of the children that They just got their justice today," Judge Delilah Washington explained.
"So, what do you say?" Judge Delilah Washington asked patiently.
There was silence, the team couldn't believe it, the children were gonna be with them, tears were in the team's eyes as they thought it was a dream, but realized it was reality.
The children all hugged Everest as Mr. Snickerdoodle was happily jumping around and barking "ROWF! ROWF!" Then the children hugged their favorite people on the team.
Judge Delilah Washington saw how happy they all looked, and their reactions were a good enough answer in Her book.
"I am taking that as a yes, so before you all sign the papers," Judge Delilah Washington started to explain, then She clapped her hands three times, which caught the children's attention.
"Children, please go to the adult that You want to be your parent," Judge Delilah Washington gently ordered, the children obeyed immediately and the children went to the adult that they want them to be their parent.
Alfredo, along with his two siblings, Molly and Thomas, walked over and stood next to Captain Cragen.
Samantha walked over and stood next to Olivia.
Jacob walked over and stood next to Elliot.
The twins, Tegan and Faith walked over and stood next to Fin, The tough and rough detective tried not to show it, but deep inside, he was smiling inside and his heart melted over the twins.
Michael walked over and stood next to John.
Tobias immediately ran over and jumped over into Lake's arms happily.
Rachel quickly walked over towards Alexandra and stood next to Her.
Melody and Melinda happily embraced each other in a hug as They missed each other dearly.
