Chapter XXIII (23): "We've meet again" (Part 1)

No one's POV:

Captain Cragen was too tired to even scold his team for being late. Well, Captain Cragen told both Olivia and Dr. Huang to not do it again and let them go since Olivia is his favorite, and it was the first time that Dr. Huang was late, so the captain just let him go as well as Olivia, but Elliot?

Once the captain had laid his eyes on Elliot, the captain pointed to the ground, with a "you, here, now!" expression. Elliot let out a sigh, then he walked into the office with Cragen shutting the door.

After Elliot was scolded, he was allowed to get back to work. They were waiting for a call since there wasn't a case yet, so in the meantime, some were chatting, getting coffee, and one was sleeping in (which was Lake).

John and Fin were playing rock, paper & scissors to the death to see who would get the last donut, the tension was high, as the two men were glaring at each other as the box of the last donut was sitting in the box.

Olivia, Elliot, and Dr. Huang watched as both John and Fin were glaring to the death at each other. The three of them looked at each other, and Elliot leaned in.

"5 bucks on John," Elliot whispered into both Olivia and Dr. Huang's ear.

"I think Fin might win," Olivia whispered then She looked over at Dr. Huang, who wasn't paying attention to the two best friends' whispering.

"What do you think, George?" Olivia asked, Dr. Huang raised an eyebrow and narrowed His eyes to look at Olivia.

"I don't see why they can not share the donut. Just break it into two," Dr. Huang explained, which made sense, Olivia was the first to understand what Dr. Huang, She got up, walked over, grabbed the donut, broke the treat into two, and gave it to both John and Fin each a piece.

As Olivia was walking back over to both Elliot and Dr. Huang, both Fin and John watched with widened eyes as they still had each piece of donut in their hand.

Elliot blinked at His best friend and partner.

"What about the bet?" Elliot asked.

Olivia sat back down on Her chair.

"It's better to make friends at peace than enemies at war. It's much better that way," Olivia answered, both her and Dr. Huang smiled at each other and gave each other a high five. Dr. Huang had a proud smile on His face, He was very proud at Olivia, like a big brother proud of His little sister.

John and Fin looked back at each other, but it was cut off by a phone ringing, Fin walked away to answer the phone, and John walked away to get back to his favorite cross word puzzle books as He started to eat his half donut.

As John was on His fourth cross word puzzle, something caught John's attention from the upper corner, John looked up from his cross word puzzle book, and He saw a middle-aged woman, but something was off.

John got up and started to walk towards the middle-aged woman, as He got closer, He noticed how dirty, beaten up, and mistreated, the woman looked. She had curly blonde hair all tied up in a messy bun, with pale skin tone, dark blue eyes, and freckles, and she looked to be Olivia's height.
