Chapter XXVII (27): "Apologies, forgiveness & rest..."

No one's POV:

Dr. Huang felt like he was ready to drop. But he wasn't. Since Olivia was holding him with one arm, not because Dr. Huang was seriously hurt or anything, but for comfort, Olivia knew that Dr. Huang was gonna need a shoulder to cry on, and she would be the first one to let him cry on her shoulder.

Medics came rushing over to Father Jeffrey's arm wound, and they walked him over to the ambulance but Elliot told the others that he wasn't going to leave the priest's side and was still planning to not undo those handcuffs.

As Olivia and Dr. Huang walked over towards the others, everyone sigh in relief to see either Olivia and Dr. Huang was not harmed or didn't have any injuries on them. Captain Cragen then went over and gently placed his hand on  Dr. Huang's shoulder.

"Are you alright?" Captain Cragen asked.

Dr. Huang smiled softly.

"I'm okay, I am not hurt, so don't—" Dr. Huang explained but—

"No, I mean, emotionally," Captain Cragen corrected.

Dr. Huang stood quiet. Once he saw Father Jeffrey again after all of those years ago, he remembered the times what Father Jeffrey did to him, all of those horrible memories that he had to remember or thinking back, emotionally, he was not fine...

"I'm okay now, after I confronted the monster who..." Dr. Huang tried explaining but stopped and held back his tongue.

"Hey man, you didn't have to, but you did, and that was pure bravery, and We are proud of you, and you were braver than me, take that to heart," Fin explained, Dr. Huang smiled and nodded. Fin then smirked and gently patted the psychiatrist on the shoulder proudly in a brotherly way.

"Thanks, Fin," Dr. Huang thanked, and Fin nodded, but then, all of a sudden—

"YOU'RE ALIVE!" Lake cried out and tackled Dr. Huang into a big hug.

Although Dr. Huang can hear Lake's loudest cries, He turns his head and sees the two children sitting on the back of the ambulance, getting a checkup by other medics, and then another police car came pulling up, the doors opened and there was a cop with the wife and husband who two children were taken by Father Jeffrey.

"You're children are over there, Mr and Mrs. Sterling," The cop said, and He pointed towards the ambulance where the two children were. Dr. Huang watched as the two relieving parents came running over towards their two children.

Dr. Huang smiled as the family of four embraced each other tightly. It was a beautiful sight to see, and it almost made him cry, but then something caught his attention. He turned his head and saw Dr. Melinda Warner came walking over to Him and the others from the same ambulance where the family of four were at.

Olivia's eyes widened once she saw Dr. Warner, surely no one had died, right?

"Melinda, what are you doing here? Were there any dead bodies here?" Olivia asked.

"No, I just came to join along as well, but also I saw everything. Thanks to our Morales, right?" Melinda asked, and She turned around, and just like that, Morales popped out with a computer in His hand with a smile and holding up the peace sign finger jester.
