No one's POV:
The night before the trial was horrible. Last night, Alexandra had nightmares about losing this case, She was scared that if She and Rafael did, then She had an uncomfortable feeling that the children would be punished for it, which is the last thing anyone on the team would want.
Alexandra and Rafael had to be at the courthouse at 6 am. In the morning, They both quickly got ready, and the two of Them met up at a small coffee shop. Once inside, the air inside of the store smelt like homemade coffee, fresh bread, and a hint of fresh bake of cookies.
The smell itself was enough to ease Alexandra for a bit since Her nightmare was bugging Her a lot. Before She got ready to meet up with Rafael, She had called Everest to check up on the children, especially Rachel, to see if They were okay, which They were.
Rafael went up to the counter and ordered two fresh bake croissants, Alexandra went over to the table where it had a coffee maker, with a bunch of different coffee brands in bags, along having milk and/or sugar to the side.
Rafael noticed that Alexandra's hand was twitching, and immediately He got concerned and worried about Her.
"Alex?" Rafael called out gently as He watched Alexandra grab the handle of the coffee pot with Her shaky hand and started to pour Herself a cup of coffee, but then, She missed and scolded hot coffee was poured on Her four fingers causing Alexandra to let out a—
"GAH!" Alexandra cried in pain. Everyone who was in the coffee shop turned Their attention towards Alexandra's cry, Rafael quickly grabbed the coffee pot out of Alexandra's hand and grabbed a couple of napkins, and gently wrapped it around Alexandra's now red blistering fingers, She hissed in pain as Rafael was adding pressure to Her fingers.
"You have to be more careful next time!" Rafael cried out in worry.
"I'm fine, it's just..." Alexandra said, but She paused, which caught Rafael's full attention.
"A stupid nightmare about us losing this trial and the kids get punished for it," Alexandra explained with a hint of sadness in Her eyes.
"Strange, I had the same nightmare just like yours," Rafael explained, Alexandra looked at Him, but Rafael stayed quiet.
"Then how are you staying so calm about it?" Alexandra asked.
"Don't think I am not worried as much as you are, I am, I just act differently when it comes to nightmares," Rafael explained, and He took in a deep breath.
"You need to get those fingers of yours medical attention right away, We have plenty of time. It is only 4:30 after all, We can make a quick trip to the hospital, then We get to the trial, then after the trial, We can visit Dr. Huang, about your nightmare," Rafael explained, and Alexandra let out a sigh.
"Fine, but I am not agreeing going to Dr. Huang, He is already destroyed since the children were taken away, I don't want to put more on Him to think about," Alexandra explained.
"Croissants are ready!" The cashier called out, Rafael walked over and paid for the croissants as Alexandra was lost in Her thoughts.
