Chapter XXVIII (28): "Family time,"

No one's POV:

Hope felt like she was very dizzy. After her and Genevieve explored all around in their brother's home, with Mr. Snickerdoodle following them, the two sisters and dog came back downstairs, Mr. Snickerdoodle came running into the living room where the twins were playing with building blocks as the TV was on.

Bluey was on TV, and the cartoon show for children on Disney junior, it was the first ever cartoon that the twins had ever seen, and they immensely fell in love with the cartoon, and felt like it was a safe space for them.

Hope was very interested in the TV. She or Genevieve had never seen one before because their parents never believed in technology, and they believed that it was 'poison' to life itself. Then Hope sat down on the couch and watched the TV. She had never seen anything so beautiful on it, but she favors the outside more than the TV even though she started to watch the cartoon.

Genevieve then left the living room and into the kitchen. Immediately, she smelled the fresh cooking of pasta. The smell of cook food made her stomach growl, and it made Dr. Huang chuckled.

"It's a good thing that dinner is almost ready because I can hear your stomach growling from over here," Dr. Huang explained with a chuckle.

"I don't think our parents ever made pasta for us before," Genevieve explained.

"Those "parents" of ours didn't give us both our food privileges after Father walked in on me playing with you," Dr. Huang explained as he turned around and looked over at His sister.

Genevieve frown, which made Dr. Huang's heartbreak.

"I am still so sorry for how our parents did to you and treated you," Genevieve apologizes.

"Eve, it was not your fault. You were only a child," Dr. Huang tried explaining.

"And so were you," Genevieve said.

"I rather take the abuse, I can handle it, I can't bear to see you hurt, if I do, then what kind of brother would I be if I let that happen?" Dr. Huang explained and asked.

Genevieve gently smiled, and then she gently placed her hands on both of her brother's cheeks.

"Don't think like that, the important thing, we have survived, and you are the greatest brother that I was blessed with, so don't be too hard on yourself, none of this is your fault, please believe me," Genevieve explained with a smile.

Then Genevieve kissed her brother on his nose, then walked back into the livingroom, has Dr. Huang turned around and—

"Come along, Hope, we gotta go wash up before dinner," Genevieve explained, Hope immediately nodded, and she stood up.

Dr. Huang then looked back over at His twins.

"You two wash up too," Dr. Huang said, and the twins nodded as well and started to walk up the stairs with their dog sidekick by their sides.

Genevieve smiled.

'So well behave,' Genevieve thought to herself then. She stepped aside as the twins started to walk up the stairs, then Hope followed, and soon, Genevieve herself went up the stairs as Dr. Huang was finishing up dinner.
