Recap: Cole hates his job but has to go to work and Wally got sexually assaulted by the murderer who plagues our protagonists's town

The cold, frozen wind rushed past Wally's body and the night owls had ended their mournful cries, the shone brightly illuminating the foggy town's snow. Blood was seeping from his head to the snow that formed around him, frostbite had already taken hold, and any long, death.

Two officers, Richard and Alex, were doing their normal routine of patrolling the streets when they smelled the metallic sting of blood.

"Dude it stinks over here," Alex said jokingly. Richard recognized that smell and gestured to Alex to be on guard and look around. They searched trash cans and alleyways but couldn't find what they were looking for.

"What are we looking for?" Alex asked, kicking over some cardboard. Richard glared at Alex and hushed him. Alex rolled his eyes in response and started walking towards the forest. The smell was getting too strong for Alex so he covered his nose, the smell kept getting more intense and thick. Alex was about to turn back but saw something red sticking out of the snow. He went towards it until he saw a naked body. 'Ew gross' He thought to himself. He was about to leave again but this time he saw the stab wounds, the blood, and the hoodie sleeve shoved in its mouth.

"Richard I think I found what you were looking for" Alex exclaimed, getting Richard's attention. Richard ran over and took a pulse. He got one pulse but it was weak. Alex used his two-way radio and called for first responders. around to see if there were any other people there or if there was anything to identify the person bleeding out in front of him. But it was for nothing, the most he found was clothing scattered around. Alex knew exactly what happened now, he gathered up all the clothing and sat them underneath his arm. The first responders finally arrived and took Wally to the hospital.

Meanwhile with Cole. Cole just got off work and was exhausted. They started on the tiresome journey back home, an ambulance rushed past them causing Cole to get blown with even colder winds.

"God damn it why is today such a shitty day" Cole complained. Usually, the walk would take around 5 minutes but since they were working the late shift that night, it was now morning and everyone was out and about. Cole ran into their neighbor's wife, Mrs. Shepherd.

"Oh, hello Darling, how are you?" Asked Mrs. Shepherd, she has a large, messy, grayish-brownish bun on her head along with several cowrie shells in her hair. You could always find her in a nightgown-like dress with her favorite brown cardigan that her wife made her on their 12th wedding anniversary.

" Hi Mrs Abigail, I'm doing fine. I just got off work and am on my way home" Cole said tiredly, Abigail slowed down so she and Cole were walking at the same pace. She reached into her bag and pulled out a small thermostat filled with tea.

"Here darling, I was going to give it to your father but I haven't seen him recently, how is he doing?" She questioned. Cole took a long sip of the drink while thinking what to tell her.

"Don't worry about him, he drank himself sick again" Cole lied through their teeth. Abigail seemed less anxious but more upset.
