Lo'ak got dressed in his uniform, tying his hair up but not figuring out how he wanted to tie it up. He normally did a lower ponytail but his braids looked horrendous since Neytiri was always busy and he had never taken the chance to learn himself. He finally put it in a low bun since a ponytail looked like his hair was for a troll. " Lo'ak, ya ready?" Spider asked, helping Lo'ak with his tie. " How do you know how to do a tie?"
" Norm mainly." Spider chuckled and fixed his curls behind his ear. " Hm..." Lo'ak nodded and grabbed his backpack that he stole from the bench the night before. " Ready?" Kiri called and rushed downstairs. The night before Kiri had added her own fashion touch to the uniform and put millions of pins on her backpack. Like Jake and Spider she did not wear braids but she did enjoy braiding pieces of her gingerly hair and tying ribbons on them.
" Yea." The boys replied and rushed downstairs where Neteyam and Neytiri worked on breakfast: eggs, strawberries, and bananas. Lo'ak sat down and quietly ate, his mother applying sunscreen onto his arms. " Ma...I don't need it. It's winter!" Lo'ak whined. " Yes, but your skin is very sensitive!" Neytiri warned and looked at Lo'ak's braids. " Tsk. You need to fix your hair as soon as you get home." She stated. " I know...I know..." Lo'ak groaned. " If you knew you would have done it." Neytiri scolded, putting away the plates and dishes.

The Sully children walked into the school building and to Lo'ak's disappointment they weren't able to see the skater girl. " Turn that frown upside down." Spider cooed, touching his cheek. " Whatever..." Lo'ak whined, looked down. " Listen, I've heard that some trips combines the classes, since you are a first year I'm sure you'll see her again." Neteyam stated and Lo'ak looked up quickly. " Really?!" Lo'ak gasped. " That's what my teacher said. And the trips are a bit different here than back home." Neteyam smiled softly.
Lo'ak nodded and ran into the school building without his siblings. He had to see when they would get the fieldtrip dates. He quickly walked to his class which was in Section F, he had Biology. It was his first year taking it since back in his old school he was just a middle schooler. He did feel slightly maturer and powerful being able to be called a high schooler rather than a middle schooler. They had uniforms now and they could eat outside—the lunches themselves were very good as well.
It felt like a dream come true if he really thought about it, besides the bullying. He pushed some loose braids behind his ear and walked into his classroom. He flushed when he saw the girl, she was back. The female turned and their eyes connected. She flushed and smiled brightly, her dimples piercing his eyes. Lo'ak looked go the teacher and headed to his seat, not noticing the other middle schoolers that looked at him.
" Well students, as you can see we have some students! As you all know you were in their same shoes last year so I expect you to be kind and show them around. I have chosen students and it doesn't matter for gender because we are looking for academically speaking." The teacher stated, she pulled out her paper and began reading out names from those who could barely read up till the higher academic students. " Lastly, Lo'ak and Tsireya. You two are very smart students and Lo'ak had gotten all A's in his exams!" The teacher exclaimed and the students clapped.
He looked at the girl and walked over quietly, taking the paper. So her name was Tsireya.
"Hey." Lo'ak smiled. " Hi!" Tsireya smiled and looked up at Lo'ak. Her blue eyes glitzed and shined with the morning light. " I'm guessing... I give you a tour?" Lo'ak suggested. " Pretty much! We do this to most schools, but I already know I'm going here anyways." Tsireya sighed, tying her hair up and putting on earmuffs to go outside. Lo'ak quietly watched, admiring her round baby face and enjoying her beautiful smile.
" Ready?" Tsireya asked. " Huh? Yea." Lo'ak nodded and led her outsides. "Let's start with Section A. That's where most of the upperclassmen have their homerooms." Lo'ak explained, pointing to the alphabetical signs. " Ah...like you?" Tsireya turned. " Me? No! Like my older brothers." Lo'ak explained. " Ah...who you were walking with yesterday?" Tsireya asked. " Oh yea. Yea. We don't really look alike." Lo'ak stated.
" Mm...it's nice you have such a bond with them." Tsireya smiled, holding her backpack close. " Yea..I guess." Lo'ak sighed and continued to explain the classrooms. He pointed to the multiple sides and even showed her the courtyard. " We can eat here, or in the classrooms." Lo'ak said. " You eat in the classroom for winter?" Tsireya asked. " Huh? No...nobody wants to eat there." Lo'ak chuckled.
Tsireya looked up at Lo'ak, noticing his red nose and pale skin. She grabbed her extra scarf from her backpack and stood in front of Lo'ak. " Huh?" Lo'ak asked, looking at her. She wrapped the scarf around his neck and smiled. " Sorry! You looked cold." She stated and moved to the side again. Lo'ak flushed, touching his cheek before nodding. " Thanks...and it's not really cold, I just have um...pale skin." Lo'ak chuckled softly. " It looks good on you." Tsireya smiled, pushing her curls back.
Lo'ak flushed a deep red, thanking her quickly and proceeding to the library. " We can stay here, it's warm and there are some books we can pick out, you can use my library card." Lo'ak stated, walking inside and happily feeling the warmth of the library. Tsireya smiled, her dimples showing again as she removed her earmuffs and scarf. Lo'ak removed the scarf as well, delicately folding it and as he passed it back she stopped him. " No you can keep it! I have a bunch at home." She stated, grabbing her favorite perfume and spraying some on it so it smelled good.
Lo'ak nodded and quietly put the scarf in his book bag, showing Tsireya to a small table. He had never been to the library but he had walked past it before. They dropped their backpacks off at the table and slowly walked down the aisles of the library. " Oo!" Tsireya gasped, eyeing a book. She tried to grab the book but it was a few levels too high for her. " You need help?" Lo'ak asked and Tsireya nodded quietly. She watched Lo'ak grab the book and pass it to her. " Thanks. I have always wanted to read this book!" Tsireya whispered.
" Cute book." Lo'ak smiled, eyeing the cartoon figures. " Hmph! It is a cute book!" Tsireya huffed and held her head high as she walked to the counter. Lo'ak flushed at her bold yet confusing personality and followed her quietly. They got the book and the librarian even gave them hard candies. " I love this candy!" Tsireya gasped, opening the strawberry mint and tossing it in her mouth. Lo'ak chuckled and passed her his as well. " Here." Lo'ak smiled softly. " Thanks!" Tsireya smiled and they sat down together.
She brought out her book and leaned against Lo'ak so that he could also read the book. Lo'ak smiled and pushed some of Tsireya's curls back. He admired her beautiful complexion rather than reading the book. Was it love?
