The Sully children walked into the school building, students flooded the halls and there were lockers right in front of them almost immediately. " We have to go to the principals office, quickly." Neteyam said and asked another student to direct them—it was not far.
They stumbled into the room and Neteyam sat down to greet and speak with the principal to talk about all the medical needs for the children and sign the papers his parents authorized he could.

" Here you go, your classes may mix but it is likely that you are to have separate lunch periods. Miles Socorro you are in the 2nd class, Neteyam Sully you are in the 3rd class and Kiri Sully and Lo'ak Sully you are in the 4th classes." The principal stated, handing each of them their schedules. The kids thanked them and headed off quickly into the now empty halls. " Classes have already started, we are late!" Neteyam whined. " Spider, you can go with Kiri okay? Lo'ak your class is close to mind so let's go go go!" Neteyam directed.

The Sully children split up and the two boys were now off to go to Section B which was where their classes were starting. " Are you feeling good?" Neteyam asked, pushing some of Lo'ak's braids back. Lo'ak only merely nodded, unable to look up.
The truth was that Lo'ak was in fact not okay, he was anxious and he wanted to figure out what people would like in him but he could barely even do that. He traced his vitiligo spots and drew some cats along his fingers which turned out sloppy since he could do it on a rough surface.

" Here it is, I'll see you at...lunch." Neteyam smiled and hugged his brother partially with his side before walking off to Section C to make it to his English Language Arts class.

Ao'nung walked across the hall, people moving away from him to allow space for the rich New Zealand boy. He held his book bag and walked towards the new boy: short, white, braids. It was an easy target and since he had nothing to do why wouldn't he show off a bit?
" Hey! You!" Ao'nung called and Lo'ak looked up and around. " Yes you." Ao'nung rolled his eyes. Lo'ak gulped and walked over quickly, looking up at the oversized male. " Ya knew here?" He asked. " Yes?" Lo'ak responded and looked around for any signs of his siblings.

" Where you from hmm?" Ao'nung asked, touching on of Lo'ak's braids causing him to flinch from the unexpected touch. " The States, erm...why?" Lo'ak asked, taking his braid back and tucking it into his ponytail. " Hm. Your kind don't belong here." Ao'nung grumbled, taking the pencil from Lo'ak's hand and breaking it. " Enjoy your stay, because you are neither welcomed, nor wanted." Ao'nung retorted and walked off.

Lo'ak felt embarrassment heat up and he looked around quickly, lowering his head and rushing off to go to lunch. Why him? Why does he have to get the worse of all?
