I was laying in my bed in a deep sleep, when I heard the sound of the door opening. The Door slowly shut and I heard footsteps reach near my bunk, the person's footsteps quick and heavy. I woke to the feeling of being picked up from my bed and held close. The combination smell of fire wood, barnyard animal and the feeling of a soft hoodie and mussels engulfed me. I finally opened my eyes to see my boyfriend, frank holding me tightly to his chest, I could feel tears on my shoulder, as I was only wearing a tank top and night pants.
"Hey babe how was your trip" I said quietly in a very tiered voice. He pulled away from me so I could see his face. His eyes red from crying " hey what happened" I was immediately worried. Yes frank can be emotional but he's tough, so there has to be reason. I pulled him back into tight hug as he started crying again. His voice still echoing in the cabin, despite his best efforts to muffle the sobbs on my shoulder.
"Baby what happened" I said again, rubbing his back comfortably as he sat on my bed still holding me close. "If you to choose between me dying and you who would you pick" he said to me when he finally calmed down enough. I laid on my bed and he pulled himself to lay on my chest. "I'd pick you. One hundred times over. Not only because I love you with all my heart but you have more to live for. If I lost you I would die inside, and never be able to live another day, if the world lost you, we would lose a hero and the kindest person I know. What made you ask this?" I tell him. He seems to pull me closer to himself, resisting his head in the crook of my neck.
" on the way back to camp half-blood from camp Jupiter, I-I had a really bad nightmare. I just wanted to see you and make sure it was just a nightmare." He said. I kid his head and continue rubbing his back. " it's ok, you're safe, and loved" i whisper in his ear as I feel him slowly fall asleep. His face still bared in my neck, his hands holding my hips. I trace the millions of scratches and bite marks I got from my years at camp Jupiter. Living with wolf kids definitely did that to you, but I never minded. I moved to camp half-blood last year since it's closer to my m/p, but sometimes I miss the bareks. soon I fell asleep as well. Frank still in my arms.
