Y/n POV:

"General! GENERAL! (Y/N)!" Will Solace shook you awake forcibly.You trembled in surprise and fear until your eyes landed on the blonde before you. How did he get in? ?
"What the fu-"

"Hurry!" The son of Apollo ushered. "You're missing the big fight!" Without saying anything else, the boy scampered out of cabin 3, chuckling to himself like a mad man with a grin on his face. You rushed to slip on a breast plate you kept under your bed and put on a pair of shoes without socks.

You glanced at your alarm clock as you grabbed the small paper clip that turned into a sword when bent, off your nightstand: 6:45 AM.
You hurried outside, still in your pajamas only to be pelted in the face by a circular cloud of cold and wetness. Your hands flew to your face, shocked to your nose felt of snow rather than blood. It tingled as the snow slid and melted on your warm skin.
There was no monsters attacking the camp.
It was a massive snowball fight between demigod cabins.

That bitch solace.

Snowballs were launched across the lawn in all
directions, going back and forth and being launched all over the place.
You ducked, as you saw someone from the Hades cabin chuck more in your way, perhaps aiming at the one blonde who knelt close to you behind a bush.

"(y/n), over here!" you spotted a son of Hephaestus motion you over to his compact fortress he created.
You got down on all fours and crawled to avoid being targeted. "What's going on?"
You kneeled, not caring if your clothes were soaked or not.
"The Ares cabin declared war on the Hephaestus cabin," he answered giddily.
You ducked down further, but noticed all the statues, cabins, and grass were snow covered. Normally, Chiron didn't allow snow into camp. It was rare for this much to accumulate.
"But why is the everyone in on it then if it was just between the two cabins?" you asked, slightly confuse and still kind of groggy from waking up.
Leo shrugged, his crooked smile never leaving his tan face as he took a deep breath. "Well... I might have..." uh oh "...told everyone that the Ares cabin declared a snowball fight against everyone."
"Leo!" you chuckled, shoving him playfully. "Are you trying to play Gods or something? That's going to come back one day and bite"
He rolled his eyes. "Watch this," your boyfriend said, his eyes going wide with excitement. Leo was using a strange machine that looked like a nerf gun. He opened a side compartment of the plastic machine and scooped up snow. He packed it inside real tight before closing it and handing it to you.
You noticed a trigger close on the handle.
"Hit me," he said.
"Leo-"
"Come on," he smiled mischievously. "I'll be alright."
You followed his orders and pointed it at his chest before pulling the trigger.
Out of the opening, a perfectly rounded snowball came out and exploded on his chest. "Oh my gods, this is awesome!"
"I named it the Ball Blaster 2000," he smiled confidently.
Your hands traced over the part where you could see an old Nerf logo but it had been scratched away.
"Love the name"
" Gracias"
"Why 2?" you asked curiously.
"The first version combusted into flames," he admitted sheepishly, reaching into his pocket and pulling out what looked like melted plastic.
Leo looked behind you and his face dropped. "LOOK OUT !"
He pulled you closer to him and hugged you to shield you from an incoming snowball attack.
Instinctively you felt a familiar tug in your gut and heard a very loud and very violent "AHHHHH" as a large snow wave hit your attacker square in the chest.
You smiled and pulled away once it was supposedly safe. "Thanks Valdez, but I think I can handle snowballs."

"Sir Leo will always be there to there to protect his love... even if you can handle it," he smiled and tugged you closer to him as a small flame lit his nose.

He pat it out immediately, clearly embarrassed but nonetheless blushing and smiling.
You giggled in response, extinguishing it for him by showing a hand full of snow into his face.

"You did not just do that," he said in a playful tone and shook his head like a wet dog. "You better run l/n" Your eyes went wide and before your brain could even process what he had said you were already standing and running in the opposite direction, running down a path. You startled some nymphs and cut through some trees, hearing leaves and snow crunch underneath your feet.
But once you reached the sand, hoping to make it to water, Leo tackled you and you two landed in it softly. He hovered over you, out of breath and took a hand of snow and sand and
dropped it in your face.
"Oh my gods," you gasped, wiping the wet sand that landed on your lips.
He continued to hover over you, staring into your (e/c) eyes. " I hate you Valdez" you murmured. he chuckled, helping you wipe some of the water and sand that was left on your cheek with his thumb gently.
You cupped his cheeks, bringing his face down closer to yours. "I love you too, l/n" you grinned, placing your mouth on his soft lips.
