I sighed, walking into cabin 9 with my shoes slung over my left shoulder. All of my friends sat in the room quickly turned there heads to the door, The movie was paused at the entrance. Their eyes settled on me, mischievous looks on their faces and raised brows as they waited for an answer to the unspoken question.
"It was so awkward." I huffed, flinging the f/c shoes into the corner of the room, bare feet on the dirty floor.
I knew I had a disheartened look, but at least i still looked beautiful, all dressed up from my My date in a (suit/dress)
I knew It broke his heart, the disappointment i wore on my face as Jason stood up to comfort his friend about the date they had been excited for.
"Well done for getting out there." Will solace said with a small smile, trying to make me feel better. "Any one would be lucky to have you." Percy confirmed as he swigged his blue coke. Walking over to him and taking a sip from his bottle, much to his dislike, before passing it back. "I'm sad because I really liked him but he didn't live up to my built expectations" I mumbled before sitting on the floor by Frank and Jason. "Who was this guy again?" Leo said before taking a sip of his cup. " he's the barista at the coffee shop in town" I replied.
I moved down to camp half-blood during the summer to be around piper, will, Leo and annabeth before school at new Rome started up again. I met 'Austin' at the coffee shop, about a fifteen minute walk away from camp, and we hit it off. He asked me on a date and I was so excited about it.
" he was on his phone the entire time, and was rude to the waitress" i said to Frank who immediately made a stank face, and Jason groaned loudly. " he payed for the bill even when I asked him to do separate checks, and then he asked me to go home with him because he paid for my meal" i said and everyone in the room looked like they got second hand ick "and he's catholic" at that the cabin rang in uproar. "Ew a catholic" Percy said.
"And another thing!" I almost yelled, realizing the absurdity. " he trashed my tattoos and said pagans are disgusting" Jason looked like he was plotting murder. "Those tattoos are badges of honor! The heck he means." Frank shouted
" should we take him to camp Jupiter and treat him like a catholic" Nico said to me. Jason passed me his oversized hoodie that read ' S.P.Q.R' and I gladly accepted it.
"I'm so sorry babes" piper said as Everyone continued talking and laughing about the whole thing and soon started to disappear back to their cabins.
The moment me and piper reached the cabin she looked directly at me. "Ok, cut the crap, did you two kiss?"
Jason's pov:
I don't know what I was expecting. Me and y/n had been friends for years. I grew up with them by my side, they where always my lieutenant, my partner in crime! And don't ask me why but them talking about how trash this guy was made my furious. Couldn't he see the literal treasure in front of him??? No mortal could ever be good enough, and that's just facts. I walked back to my cabin as others started heading to bed; but when I got there I remembered I gave y/n my hoodie and I probably wouldn't get it back if I didn't ask for it now.
Now listen I'm not proud of what I did, but I know you would do the same to. Right as I was about to knock on the door I heard pipers voice. " cut the crap, did you two kiss?" Ok piper you have my attention.
" yes and I hated every second of it!" Y/ns exasperated voice said. "At least when people ask me if I've had a first kiss I won't be saying no at 17"
My mouth felt dry and suddenly I didn't want my hoodie back anymore
" it shouldn't have been like that don't let it discourage you from kissing anyone else in the future" piper said. It just hit me that this was y/ns very first date, ever, and they had never kissed anyone. The fact they hated it made me feel a kind of anger I wasn't expecting. 'It should have been me' was replaying in the back of my mind, over and over again.
Before I could stop myself I quickly opened the door to the Venus cabin. The Cabin was empty, but not unusual for a Friday night, it was just piper and y/n there.
"Hey- um- y/n/n can I uh... umm" I couldn't remember why I was here, or what I was doing. All I new was that something in my brain was shouting 'I LOVE YOU' witch is crazy because I don't think I had these feelings for y/n before now but I wasn't gonna investigate.
Suddenly, I just blurted out the first excuse my mind could come up with " I umm need your help with something in my cabin, c-can you please help me" gods that sounded so stupid. "Yeah what's up" they said, quickly grabbing their sword, then walked past me towards my cabin.
On a totally separate note, is it just me who thinks women/men/inbeetweens look so beautiful and mesmerizing, but also look like they could kill you with fifteen minutes and a spoon, absolutely the sexiest creatures alive? No? just me? Ok.
I shut the door of cabin ten and walked with them. Once we reached my cabin they turned twords me and stared into my eyes. Their e/c eyes shimmered in the moon light. " what's going on Jason?" They asked me as I stopped on the steps of cabin 1. "You seemed a little angry back there, did I do something?" They asked.
I didn't realize I must have looked pretty angry when I burst into their room. What do I say! 'Don't mind me I think I might have a crush on you, and hearing how terrible your first kiss was with the catholic barista made me want to kill him; can I have cuddles?' No! That's so stupid!!!! Gods maybe I should ask Percy for dating advice.
In stead of saying that I ended up saying " i over heard that you and Austin kissed and I just wanted to talk to you about it"
At that their whole face turned crimson, a look of 'what in Styx did you just say' and ' I'm shook'. I started to try and back track "I wasn't trying to ease drop, it just kinda happene-" but before I could finish, they cut me off "no it's fine cub, I know you didn't mean to"
We continued to stand on my small porch for a good minute. The silence had never been louder.
Eventually they piped up, " is there something you wanted, or are we just gonna stand here and wait for the harpees to get us"
Right.
Here it goes
"Y/n l/n child of Venus, praetor, former lutenist and now commander of the first legion of new Rome; may i kiss you"

They stood there, just stood there. I crisp blush tattooed on their skin. I must've sounded like an idiot
Before I could fully comprehend what happened, the door to cabin one had been sharply flung open and the Dainty hands of my lutenist were firmly holding onto the collar of my shirt. They stepped inside; me on their tail as they slammed the door shut and our lips met
It was magical, sparks where flying, my stomach was filled with stone butterflies. Oh gods.
I pushed them against the door of my cabin, shielding their body from the ugly statue in my room. Our lips moved like we had a million words to speak through each other.
