Nicos POV:
"You're honer, shut the Fuck up, you weren't even there!" He yelled standing up and pointing at Reyna. Everyone in cabin one burst into a symphony of laughter and gasps. My best friend y/n continued to stand there pointing at Reyna for saying that I didn't scare off a hell hound with my singing.
"Yn you cant say that" annabeth gasped at his profanity. " he did too scare off that stupid dog by singing hotel California, I was there! ask hazel!"
"Why do I even try" I heard annabeth mumble as y/n sat back down next to me. We were all having a dinner together in cabin one, this had become a bit of a tradition between us all. All of the seven, plus me, Reyna, and y/n on every surface and space as we traded stories and snacks. Y/n was telling everyone about the time me, y/n, Rachel, and hazel went on a quest to atriums and I, supposedly, scared away a hell hound by singing hotel California.
I started to remember that trip. It's when I think fell in love with him, and then had the biggest crisis of my life trying to understand sexuality. He's dareing, and brave, and loving and stupid. He saved my life on that quest. Even though it wasn't necessarily a dangerous one, it was still a little difficult. He refused to let anything get in the way of us finding Artemis so we could give Rachel over to them, something about a prophecy for lady atriems I didn't really question. The only reason I went on that quest is because y/n asked me to. He knew that artimis has a soft spot for me and that hazel would be a great asset because... well it's hazel. There was a joke umung hazel and y/n that hotel California was my theme song, and it kinda stuck
I didn't realize that I started to hum the tune of hotel California until the whole cabin went silent. "Why just why" y/n said. His face contoured into one of 'I'm trying not to laugh' and mock fear. And again, as if he pressed a button, the cabin erupted with laughter and words to mottled to make out. That's another thing I love about him. He has this super power to make everyone laugh. He brightens your day with a just a smile. I look to hazel and frank, who are the only people that know about my feelings, although I'm positive piper, Jason, Leo, Reyna, and annabeth know but aren't saying anything.
"We should play something, I'm bored" Reyna shouts with an all knowing look on her face, as she and annabeth have a conversation with nothing but their eyes. They seem to come to an agreement as annabeth s eyes widen and Reyna looks at the closest.
"What do you want to play then" Percy says lying his head in annabeths lap, "Seven minutes in Elysium!" Annabeth shouts and everyone has different reactions. I look at annabeth to see her smirking at me and y/n. I look to him and he seems to have a very uneasy expression on his face.
"W-we don't have a big enough closet?" He said looking at annabeth as she grabbed paper and pens
"That's the point song bird" she said and went around giving everyone some small paper and pens too right there names. I quickly scribbled Nico on mine and gave it to piper, who had a hat in her hands.
Every one in the room dropped their names into the hat and piper stuck her hand in and started moving the papers around, making a crumple sound here and there "Ok ok okokok" she mumbled pulling out two slots of paper and unfolding them "Leo and Jason your up" she yells and Leo stands up with a smirk on his face, pulling Jason into the closet as everyone starts wolf whistling and laughing at them.
I look down as the cabin starts to get quiet again and hazel starts the timer, there's a thick slice of blue-blueberry pie in front of me and soon I here Reyna talking. " Percy how do you get your pie so blue?" She says looking at the thing he called a monstrosity only an hour ago. "Family secrets" Percy said and I saw y/n lean over to hazel and whisper yell "drugs" " i still want that recipe by the way" I say to my cousin. " bro I'm giving you all the recipes, I just need my mom to give me the blue spaghetti recipe" he said. I look over to y/n and piper who are now saying " knees week arms are heavy, mom's spaghetti"
I then look at frank who is the only person sitting on a chair, like a normal person. " how did we go from talking about Tom hanks Abes twenty minutes ago, to whatever this is" he asked me " you're the only Nuro typical person in this room bro, get used to it"
Soon the timer whent off and leo and Jason walked out, Jason with a red mark on his neck that definitely wasn't from a new Rome kid. Piper looks at him suspiciously and he mumbles to her " I don't want to talk about it" Piper puts her hand back in the cap and pulls out two names that read 'piper' and 'Nico' but I see her smile to herself as she puts the names back and shouts "Ok next Nico and y/n"
Yup she definitely knows about my crush, but I'm not gonna say anything. This is my one chance to see if maybe he feels the same. I got up and stalked to the closest before being roughly pushed in and feeling the door lock y/n got pushed in with me and tried to open the door but it was barricaded or something. I suddenly remembered the spell Lou Anne put on this stupid closet last time we played seven minutes in Elysium
"Ugh" he said with a annoyed, almost scared expression. I know he's afraid of the dark so I crack his back and he starts to glow, like an oversized blond glow stick. "Sorry if you didn't want this" I say as we both sit down on the floor. He was so close to me I could hear his heart beat, his shoulders reached right above my head. " I mean to be in here with me"
" No it's fine it's not your fault" he says back. When I look up to his e/c eyes I make out a blush painted on his glowing cheeks. " I would rather be in here with you than anyone out there" he says and I sharply look away.
"Who... did you want?" He says in a small voice. His fingers fidgeting with the bandaids t on his calloused hands
"Why do you want to know" I say a bit harder than I intended.
"Nothing it's stupid, I just thought maybe, just ignore me I'm blabbering"
Gods I can't take this anymore! Ok here I go if I fuck it up... I'll find out later. I turn to look at him dead on and he's doing the same. And I felt his hands grab my face and pull me in. He kissed me softly and then pulled away trying to stand up but I pulled him back down and we continued kissing.
I soon pull away to see his face and it's covered in crimson. " I wanted to tell you since the quest" he mumbles out and we continue staring. " I've tried telling you every day since then" I say and we pull back to out kiss.
He's my boy. The light in my dark, the apple of my eye, the bullet to my gun. And he feels the same.
