I walk downstairs and hear Ginny tell Austin he can't watch her annual movie marathon.

"Why not?" I asked her, "I mean you do
things you probably shouldn't be doing," I told her.

"Exactly, he's fine. It's just a scary movie," Mom agreed with me. "He's going to have nightmares," Ginny tried to reason. Although, I couldn't give two dog shits about what she had to say.

"No, he won't," Austin started speaking in the third person. "See, no he won't," I told her. She walked over and saw Mom open her mail so she made some dumbass comment. "You know opening other people's mail is a federal offense?"

"Arrest me," she started, "You picked out some of my faves though. I'm glad you're finally decorating,"

"Where'd you get all those?" Ginny asked as we all saw the giant pile of sugar packets in the drawer. "Blue Farm," she said so simply. "Just buy the sugar, Mom"

"What's that? The lights have been doing that all morning," as the lights flickered again. "Mom is the house haunted," Austin asked, completely serious so I had to hold back my laugh. Then I realized Mom hadn't said anything when Austin called her again. "Mom, is it-" He started again then got interrupted by Mom who turned around.

"Yes!" Then did the generic evil laugh. "It's not haunted," Ginny told him ruining the fun, "Mom just needs to call an electrician, and a shrink,"

"Just think of it as a spooky ambience. Grab the hot sauce," She told him

"We can afford an electrician, right?" She asked like she was the other parent, "This isn't going to be like Maryland and we used flashlights for a month?" She asked her.

"That was fun. Flashlight tag," Austin tried standing up for mom. "Oh yeah. Poverty's a hoot," having a fake smile about as fake as her.

When we went to the table Ginny immediately started getting into Mom's business as if she didn't have her own life to worry about.

"Nervous about your date tonight," talking about the big shot mayor mom had scored. "What? No," Mom was completely baffled that she even questioned her having any amount of fear.

"Convincing,"

"Projecting? You're the one who's nervous about meeting your boyfriend's parents tonight," this piqued my interest greatly. "Yeah, Ginny. How's your relationship going because to be honest with my sweet, dear sister, mine is going perfectly," Her eye twitched as she tried to brush off what I just said knowing exactly what I was talking about.

"My relationship is going great, thanks for asking. And I'm not nervous," I just nodded. "It'd be normal if you were," she started to push. "Well I'm not," She confirmed once more.

"I remember meeting Zion's parents. I was shitting myself," "Gram and Pop aren't even scary," Ginny tried to figure this out in her little head. "I was 15 and pregnant with twins," she cleared things up quickly.

Ginny's phone dinged and she said it was a link from Max.

Then I heard it. My torture. So I ran upstairs as they fangirled over Hunter. Then I went upstairs and saw Marcus in my room.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm bored," he responded as if I knew how to fix all his problems. We were going to mess with Ginny.

I told Marcus about how Ginny had been trying to avoid him because she was so embarrassed by what had happened. We sent her a text asking her if she was avoiding him. While lying on my bed, we waited a little bit and we knew she wasn't going to answer. So, we had to find a new thing to do so he wasn't bored and bothered me about it.
