I woke up lying on top of Marcus' chest when I heard a knock on my door. Shit

"One second," I shook Marcus awake and told him to hide in my closet. I threw on a T-shirt. "Come in,"

"I know you were at the Baker's last night and snuck in when the cops showed up," she told me.

"Well, yeah, ooh donuts," I saw the box she had in her hand.

"They soak up the alcohol," as the headache I had became more apparent.

Mom ended up telling me what she told Ginny last night which I didn't hear because I was doing other...things.

Then she told me everything she told Ginny about adulthood and every secret I guess she kept. Then she told me adulthood sucks which is great because I wasn't the one rushing it.

When she walked out I got Marcus out of the closet and threw a shirt on.

"That was close," He got close to my face.

"Yeah," as I kissed him.

"Marcus!" Mom came in slamming the door open.

He practically jumped out the window. "Mom!" Ginny walked in hearing some of what just happened.

"Now we need to talk," I told her and Ginny about what happened last night and how Marcus apologized and now we're back together.

I don't think my mother trusts it and I think Ginny wants my boyfriend.

I was walking with Ginny and Max and they were talking about Cythinia's promotional video.

"I can't believe Cythinia. My mom's been busting her ass," Ginny told her.

"The way she is about this job, I've never seen her care like this before," I told Max more about the situation.

"I'm so proud of her, then this B pulls this C?"

"Bitch, Crap, I'm with you," Max agreed, "Woah, hold up, drama," I just told the group about the situation with Marcus it was over text.

I look over and see Marcus and Padma.

Before I go batshit crazy I need to evaluate the situation.

"I don't know what to think anymore, Marcus. It just feels like I never mattered to you. Did you even like me?" Padma asked him.

"I have a girlfriend, I'm with her and you know that," damn straight, "and if she hears about this conversation someone might die," and it isn't him.

"I don't care," Max tried to pull me back as I walked over. I went over as if I didn't see Padma threw my arms over Marcus' shoulders and kissed him.

"Oh, hi Padma, didn't see you there," I looked at her with the fakest smile. That's when she got in her car and drove away. I turned back to him.

"Now who's jealous," He teased me. "Oh, shut up," I slapped his shoulder.

I ended up walking with Marcus to school that morning after the situation. I said goodbye to him as I went to English.

Max was talking with Hunter sitting on her desk Ginny next to her and me on the other side of Ginny.

"Dude, I am so stressed. I have hives in really annoying places. It's not fun. And the thought of volunteering with EDCO, on top of homework and school and rehearsal makes me want to chop myself into hamburger meat," Max ranted with lots of exaggerated hand gestures.

"I feel you," Hunter added his unwanted input, "Between soccer, 3SB, and tutoring, I'm burnt out,"

"Shit, you guys are so scheduled," Ginny realized.
