That night I fought the urge to go into my sister's room and rip her head off her body. I also decided if Marcus could ignore me for something illogical, I'd ignore him until he tells the truth. I heard from Abby who wasn't supposed to tell me anyway but I want to see how long this takes him to realize.
Today was the worst day possible to be taking "family" photos and doing interviews when I didn't even know my family. Not even Austin, now that's scary. He's been off since last night.
I sat next to Mom with Ginny on the other side of me on the couch. We all kind of looked separated and like we hated each other. The only people that were smiling were Paul and Mom.
"OK," The interviewer set up his voice recording thing, "The election is tomorrow. Your opponent, Cynthia Fuller, is running her campaign attacking your family values, and now you're engaged," Oh yeah, there's that too, "How would you respond to critics about the timing of your proposal?"
"I am marrying Georgia because I fell in love with her, and her kids. It's as simple as that," He told the interviewer.
"How did you propose?" He asked.
"I, um..." He was going to blow it.
"It was so romantic. We were working late one night, and he handed me this file and asked me to put it in my desk drawer. And I'm like, 'The file goes in the filing cabinet'. On and on about this desk drawer until finally, he opens it, and inside is this little velvet box," Mom saved him the embarrassment.
"Now, Georgia, you're relatively new to Wellsbury. Would you say it's a good fit for you and the children?" He asked again.
"Absolutely. It helps that everyone is so welcoming," She answered him.
"Austin, what do you like about Wellsbury?" He asked my little brother. But he wasn't saying anything.
"Austin? Buddy?" Paul tried getting his attention.
"Mom," My sister tried to get her attention.
"Mom," I tried considering I was closer then she came back to us.
"He's...He's shy," She asked him.
"What about you girls, what do you like about Wellsbury?" He got to us.
"Our friends," We said the simple answer together to give off the loving stereotypical twin vibe.
*At School*
"Hey guys," We walked up to them by Max's locker but they didn't say anything.
"We waited for you by berry tree," I said to them but nothing was said back.
"Oh, ha ha. Avoid eye contact. Don't sit with them. I get it. Hey, joke's over," Then Max, Norah, and Abby started walking away but Abby pulled my arm just leaving my sister in the dust.
Then Abby whispered in my ear, "Max knows about Ginny and Marcus," How in the hell did she find out? Does she think he's still not talking to me, is that why she's ok with me and not my sister?
The only person who knew me and Marcus were together again after his accident and about the making out with my sister was Abby but Max likes to know everything so I assumed she'd be mad.
But hey, my sister is getting what she deserved and I don't even feel bad.
I walked into English with Max and saw my sister talk to Hunter. Wonder what that's about?
"Seats please, class has begun," Mr. Gitten walked in, "Everyone take out your copies of A Room of One's Own. We were just finishing up with chapter three," He told us before my sister started talking.
