"Wouldn't that make her a forbidden child?" Calista asked at breakfast.
"What's a forbidden child?" I asked.
Yesterday night, I had been claimed by Nyx. It was a pretty big deal. I mean, she did rise when the creation of it all was going on."A forbidden child is child of the big three, Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades." Luke explained.
"Yeah, they're called forbidden children because since the big three are powerful, their offspring attracts danger." Calista explained.
"But you being a child of Nyx, I mean -"
"It's pretty interesting." Calista interrupted Luke."Yeah, that's definitely new. Now that you've been claimed, Zeus will be on your ass for your whole life."
"CALISTA!" Luke yelled.
"I'm not lying." She smirked.
Would this mean that I'd be in danger my whole life? Why?
"Now the only reason Zeus doesn't really like Nyx is because Zeus fears her." Luke whispered, making sure no one heard.
"Her daughter a halfblood, that's bad news." Luke gave Calista a look once she finished her sentence.
I never asked to be a child of Nyx. I'd be fine if I was never even here.
But a question that still lingered on my mind is...why?
Why did a great powerful goddess love my dad, a human? Surely, that's a next level down bad. Sorry, dad.
"Well, while your cabin is being built, which is only going to take a few hours, we can get your things from the Hermes cabin later." Calista said.
She frowned, saying that, almost as if she didn't want me to leave the Hermes cabin.
"Stop frowning. You're only sad that she's not your sister." Luke teased.
"Whatever." She murmured.
"Shit, maybe that will piss Zeus off even more. He's gonna bring a whole other storm now." Luke sighed.
"Wait, that rain and storm this past week was him?" I asked. Bitch move, my hair was bad this whole week because of that.
"Yeah, apparently his master bolt was stolen."
Luke tensed at Calista words. Why?
"So now, with you being claimed, I can't imagine how bad that will be." Luke frowned.
Maybe my existence was really, really bad. I saw the Ares cabin glaring at me from the corner of my eye.
I turned to look at them and they quickly turned back to their food as if nothing happened.
Had they been afraid of me? Was it because I took down Clarisse? Where was she anyway?
"Well, at least Mr D will leave you alone." Calista said. She took a bite of her food and I just looked at her.
"Who's that?" I asked.
"Mr D is one of the ones in charge here, he's also the god Dionysus." Luke explained.
A god in camp? That's wonderful news!
"Do you think he knows about my mother?" I asked. I smiled, hoping that he did know. I had questions.Calista laughed. "Y/n, please, your mother is a Supreme basically. Do you really think Dionysus has a connection to her?"
"That's true. I mean, he's here of all places." Luke said.
He was right. Mr D was a no-go. I just wanted to talk to my mom. Ask her a million questions.
"Where's Chiron?" Calista asked.
"Oh yeah, he's in and out of camp. He looks for halfbloods and helps them find their way here. Today is one of those days." Luke looked at Calista.
"Or maybe he's looking for the thief that took the bolt." A voice behind me said.
I turned around. It was a boy with slightly pale skin. He had brown hair and blue greenish eyes
"Cyrus!" Calista yelled. I noticed she had been blushing. A crush, maybe?
Cyrus sat next to me in front of Calista. "Cyrus, meet y/n, daughter of Nyx." Luke looked at me when saying it.
It felt nice being claimed, but I didn't like that it was an oh-so-powerful goddess. This means more monsters coming after me.
"This is Cyrus, son of Apollo." Cyrus smiled at me. I noticed Calista was love-struck. This was definitely her crush.
"Where's your twin?" Luke asked. "No idea she's having an energetic episode, if I'm honest." Cyrus shrugged.
To be honest, Cyrus didn't seem bad. He looked like he could be a good friend. Luke and him obviously know each other. I trust Luke.

The day wasn't so sunny anymore. The clouds blocked the sun, and rain fell.Calista was freaking out over her hair, so she ran back to her cabin.
Cyrus had left earlier, so it was just Luke and I.
"Come on!" Luke grabbed my hand, and I could've sworn I felt something like a shock.
Luke took me to the Hermes cabin where everyone was doing their own thing.
We sat down in the corner where no one was near.
We both got comfortable, and Luke turned to me and began to talk.
"So, daughter of Nyx." Luke nods, laughing. "Yeah, it's pretty big...do you think- do you think she will talk to me?" I asked.
Luke frowned. Had I said the wrong thing? Maybe this was a sensitive topic, but I had to know.
"Hard to say, I mean my father, he doesn't talk to me, but uh, maybe your mom will. I mean, she did claim you, and no one knew Nyx had a halfblood child."
I nodded. I felt bad for him. His father claims him yet never talks to him.
"You know, whenever my dad and I would make smores at night, we would lay dow, and I would look at the moon and feel calm." I said, smiling. I missed my dad.
It was a memory I always hold on to. "I know she's goddess of nigh, but it's more than that to me." I explain.
Luke nodded, understanding. I felt I could trust him.
That I could talk to him about these things and not get judged. Like he understood exactly what I felt.
Luke sat closer to me and wrapped his arms around me. Making me feel secure.
I think I like Luke.
