Rain - Rachel Green

I walked up to Monica and Rachel's apartment with a grocery shopping bag in my right hand. I've just been food shopping for Monica. When I was waiting for one of the girls to open the door, I heard the door to Joey and Chandler's apartment open. I turned around to look at who came out and it was Chandler.

Hey Chandler," I say when the door I was standing next too opened to reveal a dressed up Rachel Green.

"Come in, come in, Y/n. Oh hi Chandler are you okay?"Rachel said with a smile which soon turned into concern.

"Yeah...I'm fine just looking for something..." He said with confusion.

Rachel nods ands pulls me into the apartment. A second later and Monica took the bag of shopping out of my hand.

"Gosh you all are acting strange.." I say to Monica and Rachel.

"Sorry Y/n, I've been caught up making this meal for Thanksgiving," Monica says to me while unpacking the groceries on the decorated table.

"Need any help Mon?" I asked

"No, no its fine, i'll be fine don't worry. If you want you can go help Rachel decorate the rest of the room?"

"Don't stress too much Mon you'll make an amazing meal and of course I'll go help Rachel," I say while walking towards the massive box of thanksgiving decorations.

Afterwards, me and Rachel were sat on the couch with Phoebe, who only just arrived a few minutes ago, watching some of the rentals Ross brought over. Of course he brought science type movies. They were boring but at this point I got used to his obsession with science movies and anything about dinosaurs.

"Hey! You three on the couch," Monica said to me, Phoebe and Rachel.

The three of us turned our backs on the tv screen and looked at Monica who was setting the plates on the table.

"Can two of you go and put the lights on the balcony that are in the box? Please," She pleaded.

Me, Phoebe and Rachel looked at each other and quickly Phoebe said,"I'm not doing anything! You two can!"

I sighed,"Fine then..come on then Rach," I say while getting up and grabbing the fairy lights Monica wants putting up.

Rachel sighed too and got up from the couch.

Once me and Rachel were outside, we began to put the fairy lights on the balcony. Me and Rachel got a chance to talk to each other more just the two of us.

"Y/n..?" I heard Rachel say.

"Yeah?" I turned around to look at her.

"Do you ever wonder what life would be like if finding love would be easy..?" She looked over the balcony wall.

"Explain more what you mean?" I asked her while joining her at the balcony wall.

"Like if you..just found the right person straight away...and you didn't have to go through break ups, heartbreak and suffering just to find one person to spend the rest of your life with.."

"That's what everyone wishes, Rachel. Only problem is..thats how life is and it always will be," I say giving Rachel a small smile.

Rachel puts her head down in defeat. "I just want to find the right person for me," She says with sadness in her voice.

"Its okay Rachel.." I pull her into a hug. She accepts the hugs.

We stay like that for a few moments until it begins to rain heavily. We pull away from each other looking up at the sky for a moment then we look back at each other. She places her hand on my left cheek and begins to caress my skin softly. I put my hands around her neck. she leans in and our foreheads are pressed together while we make eye contact. Rachel places her lips on mine and kisses me and I accept. We kiss softly in the pouring rain. I pull away from her. She gives me a confused look.

"Rachel..we are just caught up in the moment.." I sigh.

"No, don't say that Y/n...I love you," Rachel pleaded.

"I love you too, Rachel," I run my hand through my wet hair.

"Please..give us a shot, please?" She looks into my eyes with sadness 

"Fine. If this doesn't work out we'll know it was just a one time thing, okay?" 

"Yes, of course. I love you so much and I'm so happy you've agreed to give us a shot," Rachel says while bringing me into a tight embrace.
