________________________________Yujin and Y/n had been best friends since they were kids. They grew up in the same neighborhood, went to the same schools, and practically did everything together. Y/n had always been there for Yujin, and vice versa. As they grew older, Yujin started to realize that her feelings for Y/n had evolved beyond mere friendship, but she was too afraid to admit it to herself, let alone to him.
One warm summer evening, Yujin and Y/n found themselves sitting on the swings at their old neighborhood park, reminiscing about the good old days.
"Remember when we used to play hide and seek here until the sun went down?" Y/n asked, a nostalgic smile on his face.
Yujin nodded, her heart fluttering at the sight of his smile. "Yeah, those were the best times. I miss those carefree days."
Y/n gazed at Yujin, the setting sun casting a warm glow on her features. "You know, Yujin, you've always been there for me. I don't know what I'd do without you."
Yujin's heart skipped a beat. She had been waiting for a moment like this, but her nerves got the best of her. "I feel the same way, Y/n. You mean everything to me."
As they talked, the sky turned a beautiful shade of orange, and the air was filled with the sound of children playing and the distant hum of cicadas. Y/n suddenly turned to Yujin, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"Hey, Yujin, watch this!" Without warning, he leaned in and planted a quick peck on Yujin's cheek.
Yujin's eyes widened in shock, her heart racing a mile a minute. "Y/n, you just kissed me!!"
Y/n chuckled, a teasing grin on his face. "You're delusional, Yujin. I didn't kiss you. You're imagining things."
Yujin blinked, unsure of what to make of the situation. "But... but you did! I felt it!"
Y/n's laughter filled the air, and he gently took Yujin's hand in his. "I'm just messing with you, Yujin. You're too easy to tease."
Yujin felt a mix of relief and disappointment wash over her. She had longed for that kiss to be real, but she couldn't bring herself to confront her feelings. "You're so annoying, Y/n."
Y/n's smile softened, and he squeezed her hand. "You know I love you, right? You're my best friend, and I wouldn't trade you for anything in the world."
Yujin smiled back at Y/n, her heart feeling both heavy and light at the same time. "Yeah, I know. I love you too, Y/n."
As the sun dipped below the horizon, Yujin and Y/n stayed at the park, their laughter and conversations filling the air. Though unspoken words hung between them, their bond remained unbreakable, and perhaps one day, they would find the courage to face the truth that lingered in their hearts.
Weeks passed, and Yujin found herself unable to shake off the memory of that summer evening. She couldn't stop thinking about the way her heart had raced when Y/n planted that kiss on her cheek. She began to wonder if there was a deeper meaning behind his actions, but she couldn't bring herself to ask him about it. Y/n, on the other hand, seemed to be his usual carefree self, unaware of the turmoil in Yujin's heart.
One evening, Yujin and Y/n found themselves at their favorite spot by the river, watching the sunset. The sky was painted in hues of pink and orange, casting a magical glow over everything around them.
Y/n turned to Yujin, a thoughtful expression on his face. "Yujin, can I ask you something?"
Yujin's heart skipped a beat at the serious tone in Y/n's voice. "Of course, Y/n. What's on your mind?"
Y/n hesitated for a moment before speaking. "Do you remember that time at the park when I... you know, kissed you on the cheek?"
Yujin's eyes widened in surprise. She hadn't expected him to bring it up. "Yeah, I remember. Why do you ask?"
Y/n scratched the back of his head, a faint blush creeping up his cheeks. "I've been thinking about it, and I realized that I might have... underestimated my feelings."
Yujin's heart started to race. Could it be that Y/n felt the same way she did? "What do you mean, Y/n?"
Y/n took a deep breath and met Yujin's gaze. "I mean... I might have feelings for you that go beyond friendship, Yujin."
Yujin's mind whirled with a mix of emotions. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. "Y/n, I... I feel the same way. I've been afraid to admit it, but I've been feeling something more for you, too."
A weight seemed to lift off both their shoulders as they gazed at each other, the unspoken truth finally out in the open.
Y/n reached for Yujin's hand, his eyes filled with sincerity. "I didn't want to risk our friendship, but I can't deny what I feel anymore, Yujin."
Yujin's eyes shimmered with unshed tears of joy. "Y/n, I've been struggling with the same fears, but I don't want to hide my feelings any longer."
As the sun dipped below the horizon, Y/n leaned in, and this time, there was no teasing or pretending. He pressed a gentle and lingering kiss on Yujin's lips, a silent promise of the love that had bloomed between them.
"You're not delusional, Yujin," Y/n whispered, his forehead resting against hers. "I love you."
Yujin smiled through her tears, feeling a sense of completeness she had never experienced before. "I love you too, Y/n."
From that day on, Yujin and Y/n's relationship blossomed into something beautiful and profound. They navigated the unfamiliar territory of romance hand in hand, with the unbreakable foundation of their friendship guiding them through every joy and challenge.
As they walked home that evening, the stars twinkled in the night sky, a silent witness to the love that had finally found its way from the depths of their hearts to the reality of their lives.
