Me For Myself

48 11 2

Smeared on the walls;
So much misery
you asked me to look away
uneasy, unfiltered
to the smoke of despair
you asked me to run away.
.

Forgive me,
I failed to.
Stabbed on the chest;
littered thorns on your crest.
You were the king of me;
I were a mere servant to life.
.

You took away my all;
Still did I bless your head
All you ever wanted
Was me for myself;
Shivering among the ruins
all I ever wanted was;
To build them a home.
