Lilith and Loki met when there were only twelve and thirteen.

Lilith was playing in the forest, for she did not go to school because her father was only a baker and couldn't afford it and her mother was dead. Loki had escaped his lessons on how to be a proper prince. He always hated them.

Loki had thought that going to the forest would be a great place to escape from his princely duty's.

As he was walking, he heard a beautiful voice singing.

"What is that..." he murmurs to himself quietly.

He followed the voice to find a girl about his age, sitting on a log, singing a lullaby.

"My mother sings that lullaby to me." Loki says, causing the girl to jump and stop singing.

Loki walked closer to her, deciding if he should sit with her or not.

"What's your name?" Loki asked and the girl hesitated before answering.

"Lilith."

"Lilith." He repeated. The words sound delicious in his mouth, like there was something about Lilith that drew Loki to her.

"That's a beautiful name." He says as he sit down on the log next to her.

"What's your name?" Lilith asks as she fiddles with a loose thread on her dress.

She seems to be nervous.

"Loki." He responds and Lilith eyes go wide.

"P-prince Loki?"

Loki sighs. He hates it when he try's to talk to someone and once they find out he's the prince, their whole attitude changes.

"That's me." He grumbles.

She stay quiet for a moment before asking Loki a question.

"Why are you here a-and why are you talking to me?"

Loki shrugs. "My father makes me go to lessons." He explains briefly.

Lilith twirls the loose string around her finger and rips it off but it takes more thread with it.

Loki notices that and looks her up and down.

"Hm."

She looks at him and looks always when she sees that he's already looking at her.

"Sorry." Lilith mumbles.

"Why are you so nervous?"

Lilith starts picking at her thumb nail.

"Since...since my mother died," She says hesitantly. "My father has been trying to find me a rich future husband because...because he needs money. He wants me to marry when I turn 18. And you're the prince of Asgard." She adds under her breath.

"That is obscured!" Loki says, throwing his arms, not hearing what Lilith said, into the air but puts them down slowly when Lilith flinches back. She has never been so close to someone like this besides her mother and father.

They were always protective over her.

"I apologize, my lady." He pauses.

"If I may ask," Loki adjusts on the log so he is facing Lilith.

"Why aren't you in lessons?"

"That is none of your concern or business!" She stands up and steps away in a fit of anger. She realizes what she is doing, and who she is talking to, and quickly apologizes.

"I-I'm so so sorry my prince—"

But Lilith is quickly interrupted by someone yelling Loki's name.

"Loki! Loki where are you!"

Loki whips his head around and his eyes go wide.

"It's my mother. She's looking for me. My father must be angry." He whips his head back around to Lilith.

"I-I need to go. It was a pleasure speaking with you, my lady." Loki bows, takes Lilith hand and kisses it. Her eyes go wide and she stares at Loki.

Lilith has never been treated this way by a boy her age let alone touched. Her father wanted her to remain pure for marriage.

Loki stands up and their eyes lock for a second before Loki runs off into the forest.

"Oh my god.....oh my god!" Lilith says to herself.

"The prince of Asgard just kissed my hand!" She clutches her hand to her chest and spins.

"*I better get home before father worries about me.*" Lilith thinks before walking out of the forest and back to her and her fathers small cottage just outside of the bustling village.
