A/N: I'm back!!! Sorry for not having frequent updates. I've just been really busy with school and all my other stuff. I like this chapter because it focuses more on Loki. Enjoy!

"Tilt your head a little to the right!" The painter calls at Loki. He's getting his portrait painted. Apparently Odin wants hm to get as many pictures and painting of himself before the wedding so he can remember what it was like to be a "free man".

"And done." The painter turns the paining around and shows it to Loki.

"It's nice." He says blandly. "Thank you for your service." Loki puts a sliver coin in the painter's hand. The painter smiles and scurries off.

"Loki?" He turns his head to find Frigga in the door.

"Hello mother." He walks over to her and kisses her cheek.

"You tipped the painter well."

"Well he did quite a nice job on the painting. He deserves it."

Frigga smiles and glances over at the painting.

"What brings you here?" Loki asks.

"Astrid is here and she will be moving into your chambers in the next few hours. She is in the dining hall right now. Her father wants you two know each other before the wedding."

His smile fades bad he looks down. "I understand. I will go see her now." Loki out the door, down the corridor and to the dining hall.

Astrid is surrounded by Vanir guards and many of her things including racks that hold some of her nicest dresses that are made of the softest fabric and the finest silks.

"Hello Astrid." Loki greets her with an emotionless tone.

"My prince." She bows but not to low. She doesn't want to look weak. "It is a pleasure to meet you."

"Seems you packed a little extra." Loki jokes.

"I only pack what is needed. In this case, I needed to bring most of my chambers with me because I will be staying here for a while." Astrid snaps back sharply.

Loki clenches his jaw and tilts his head up slightly. "Maybe if you weren't neglected as a child maybe—"

"Lady Astrid!" A booming voice calls. They turn their head to see Odin standing at the door. He walks over to Astrid and kisses her hand. "It is a pleasure to have you here in Asgard."

"Thank you, All Father." Astrid responds with a sugar coated voice. Loki rolls his eyes and looks out the window.

He can sees a wife and a husband in the distance playing with their child. "If only that could be me and Lilith—" Loki's thoughts are interrupted when Odin clears his throat.

"Loki, show Astrid where your chambers are," Odin says sternly. "After all, it's both of your chambers now."

"Yes, father." he mumbles.

Astrid loops her arm in his and they walk off to their chambers.
