"F-Felix! Are you crying?! Why? Tell me what happened!" Chan asked, shaking the younger's shoulders slightly, panicking. Felix started sobbing. He suudenly felt warm as Chan embraced him into a hug, without caring about the surroundings. "Hey, hey, hey, it's okay. I'm right here. Don't worry" Chan said, trying to calm down the blonde who was sobbing between his arms.
"I failed my Chemistry test" Felix finally managed to let out.
"It's okay, everybody make mistakes. It's just a test. Don't think about it" Chan said, trying to comfort Felix.
"But my mom... She will kill me"
"Are you going home? You're still at the hostel right?" Chan asked again, to which Felix nodded. "Then don't worry. If she say something, calk me right ahead. I'll be there for you. Okay? Don't think about her. I will call her if you wan-"
"NO!"
Chan flinched by the sudden raise of Felix's voice. Felix pulled away from the hug. "I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to" Felix apologized, tears still trickling down his cheeks.
"I-It's fine Felix. Let's just go and get lunch" Chan said, giving out his hand which Felix held on to. Chan gave him an assuring squeeze. "Do you want to wash your face?"
"Yeah" Felix replied, naking them both head to the washrooms.
On their way, Felix didn't even dare to lift his head up. He was embarrassed. He didn't want to face Chan even though he wanted to apologise. Apologise for annoying him. Apologies for bothering him.
"I-I'm sorry," Felix finally spoke. "I didn't want to bother you"
"What the heck Felix!? Why are you apologising? Huh?" A slight anger was clear on Chan's voice. "You weren't bothering me and friends are meant to be with their friends at their hardest times. There's no reason to apologise"
Felix halted on his steps and turned to face Chan. He looked at Chan with his red, puffed eyes. Chan sighed. "Don't think about it too much. Let's go" He said softly. Felix suddenly spread out his arms. "Hug?" He asked hesitantly. Chan's eyes widened with surprise. "A hug" Felix repeated, shaking his arms slightly.
"You sure about that?" Chan asked, a slight grin on his face. "Okay then" He said, before embracing the younger into a hug.
"Thank you" Felix mumbled, tightening the hug.
"For what?"
"For everything"
