"I made it," whispers an out-of-breath Ji-Ah. The girl parks her bike and runs off inside the school. Ji-Ah ran down the hallway. Trying to get to the AV room before the other students arrived. In a daze, Ji-Ah runs into a tall, muscular body. Looking down to see if she dropped anything, Ji-Ah apologizes to the unknown figure.

"I'm really sorry!" Ji-Ah said before looking up.

"It's alright, pretty lady."

Ji-Ah knew who that voice belonged to. Yoon Gwi-Nam. Ji-Ah looked up to see the boy with the mullet smiling at her. Gwi-Nam and his friends, Son Myeong-hwan, Park Chang-hoon, and Kim Hyeon-ju, tormented many students at Hyosan High School.

One afternoon after volleyball practice, rain poured relentlessly. As Ji-Ah hurriedly walked down the hallway, she heard muffled voices from the rooftop. Curiosity tugged at her, and she decided to investigate. As Ji-Ah ascended the stairs to the rooftop, sounds of laughter and praises grew louder. After noticing Ji-Ah, Yoon Gwi-Nam, Son Myeong-Hwan, Park Chang-Hoon, and Kim Hyeon-Ju, shifted their focus towards her.

"Well, well, look who decided to join the party. Ji-Ah, I never knew you had such fire in you. Maybe you're not as innocent as you seem," said Gwi-nam with a sly smile.

"Come on Gwi-Nam, just leave him alone," Ji-Ah said to the boy. She looks at the younger boy on the floor, Lee Jin-Su, soaked from the rain and covered with bruises, blood, and tears.

"Only if you hook up with me," Gwi-Nam says to Ji-Ah as he winks. His friends laugh and snicker at the comment.

"Holy Mary won't do it. She's too much of a goody-goody," says Hyeon-Ju, causing Chang-Hoon to laugh.

"Come on Ji-Ah!! Just a little blow job for big Gwi-Nam," says Myeong-Hwan, making faces.

Ji-Ah rolled her eyes and pushed Gwi-Nam out of her way. "Let's go Jin-Su." She says, sticking out her hand for the younger boy to grab.

She awkwardly steps back and smiles at the boy. Fighting with him isn't worth it.

"I got the cigarettes you like, Marlboro Gold."

Ji-Ah needed cigarettes. She and Eun-Ae smoked the rest of hers after soccer practice.

"When can I buy them?"

"Tomorrow, at lunch. Meet me at the construction." He says to the much smaller girl in front of him. Ji-Ah nods her head and waves goodbye to Gwi-Nam. What a weird kid.

Now sprinting down the hall, Ji-Ah makes it into the AV room. She places her backpack on a chair and puts breakfast on the table. Just as she finishes, the door slides open.

"Good morning, Ji-Ah," Joon-Yeong says to the girl as he fixes his glasses. Joon-Yeong is the man of the sound system and her classmate. They met at the library in Freshman year when they needed the same book. They shared instead the book, and a little friendship blossomed that day.

"I brought you coffee!" The girl said in excitement as she hands it to him.

"I don't know what I would do without you," the nerdy boy says, opening his laptop and taking a sip.

"I know!" Ji-ah beams. Joon-Yeong shakes his head.

"I got the script for you and Dae-Su."

Before Ji-Ah replies, she's cut off.

"I'm going to be your brother-in-law one day! Trust me!"

WHACK!!

"Holy shit, Woo-Jin," shouts Dae-Su as both he and Woo-Jin step into the room. Dae-Su was a chubby and funny guy Ji-Ah met on her first day of school because he asked her for a coupon for her dad's bakery. Both of them became good friends. Dae-Su even wears a pink glittery "Kim Ji-Ah #1 fan" shirt to all her sports games.

"Dae-Su shut the fuck up about Ha-Ri," Woo-Jin says as he shoves the bigger boy. Woo-Jin was a cute boy. Ji-Ah met him through his older sister, Ha-Ri. Out of the three boys, she is closest to him.

"You brought us breakfast?!" Dae-Su said in giddy to Ji-Ah. Even though the girl brings him breakfast daily, Dae-Su still does this little "skit."

"Dad made the cinnamon twists for you."

Without question, Dae-Su runs over and picks the small girl up. The four of them burst out in laughter. The bigger boy puts Ji-Ah down, and the group digs into their breakfast. They chat about everything until Joon-yeong speaks up.

"It's 8:00 am. Time for us to air."

The four students get up and head to their positions. Ji-Ah and Dae-Su are in the sound booth, Joon-Yeong controls the sound system, and Woo-Jin has the cheesy script.

"Three, two, one! We're live!"

Joon-yeong hits the music button, signaling to all staff and students the announcements are on. {Italic = Ji-Ah, Bold = Dae-Su}

"Good morning, Hyosan High! Happy Monday, and welcome to April 13th, 2020. I hope you've all had your morning coffee or tea to tackle the day ahead."

"Or, for the rebels out there, maybe a daring cup of hot chocolate. Ji-Ah, you rebel. What's up?"

"Not much, just trying to keep up with your level of rebellion, Dae-Su. Now, let's dive into today's happenings. The weather prediction for this week is a cozy breeze, so hold on to your hats, headbands, or whatever you use to tame those luscious locks, Dae-Su."

"Hey, a man's gotta keep his hair game strong, Ji-Ah."

"Anyways, switching gears to sports, boys, lace up those cleats! Soccer and volleyball practices are happening today after school. Let's see those killer moves on the field and the court. And remember, coordination is key! Unless you're Dae-Su tying to dance."

"Ouch, low blow, Ji-Ah. Now, for our aspiring Cupids, the Archery Club has a meeting after school. Get ready to aim for hearts or aim to hit the target. Your choice!"

"Just a friendly reminder, all students have mandatory cleaning duty after school. Channel your inner superhero and make this school shine much brighter than Dae-Su's future."

"Ji-Ah, I feel personally attacked, but it's cool. Now, for our singers out there, the Choir is calling all you. Tune in and sing your hearts out!"

"That's right, Dae-Su. Lets wrap it up, Hyosan High. Have a marvelous Monday!"

"And rebellion looks good on you, Hyosan High! Stay fabulous!"

"CUTTTTT!!" Woon-Jin yells. Ji-Ah and Dae-Su sigh.

"Good job, guys!" Joon-Yeong says to the pair in the booth. Both of them thank Joon-Yeong and the four students head to class 2-5.
