"Appa!! I'm home!!" Ji-Ah shouts as she walks into her dad's bakery.

"How was school, sweetheart?" her dad asks, peering over the counter.

"Boring."

Mr. Kim chuckles. Ji-Ah reminded him so much of himself.

"Go do your homework. Your mom will be home for dinner soon." Mr. Kim tells his daughter. Ji-Ah dramatically groans and heads up to her room.

"This looks delicious, eomma," Ji-Ah says to her mother as she serves herself some rice.

"Thank you, honey," her mother says, kissing the girl's forehead. The family began to eat the fresh food made by Mrs. Kim.

With her mouth full, Ji-Ah asks, "How was work?"

"It was great. I helped with a man's surgery and helped a girl in labor," her mom says. "The girl was actually your age. I'm telling you, these teen pregnancies are getting out of hand."

Ji-Ah almost chokes on some bibimbap. This is why I'm not after Su-Hyeok, Eun-ae, she thought.

"How about you, appa? How was work?" Ji-Ah asks her dad, trying to get her mind off sex and teen pregnancies.

"Same old, same old, Ji." Mr. Kim states as he slurps some soup.

"Actually, Ji-ah, I wanted to ask you a question." Her dad says, looking at her.

"Mhm?" Ji-Ah replies as she stuffs her mouth with rice.

"Do you know a boy named," Mr. Kim pauses. Snapping his fingers, trying to think of the boy's name. "Lee Su-Hyeok, I believe that his name?"

Cough, cough, cough!!

Ji-Ah's parents turn to her in concern as she "chokes" on her rice.

"Uhm, he's in my class," she says quietly, looking down at her hands.

"He's been stopping by at the bakery." Her dad said. "I thought he was coming for the matcha almond muffins. Turns out he's been looking for you. He always shows up five minutes after you leave, though."

Lee Su-hyeok looking for Ji-Ah?

"Ooo, Ji-Ah, is he handsome?" her mother asks excitedly.

"I don't know, eomma," Ji-Ah says, blushing, causing her mother to smile.

"I might have to ban him from the bakery. My little girl is too young to date," Mr. Kim jokes.

"I'm not little anyone, appa," Ji-Ah tells her dad.

"You'll always be my little girl."

Ji-Ah sits on the rooftop balcony, stringing simple notes on her guitar. The girl couldn't fall asleep. Her mind was racing with one hundred thoughts. Ninety-nine of them were about Su-Hyeok. Ji-Ah didn't know why she was thinking about him. He's an asshole. I mean, what the fuck is his problem? There were a million girls that he could bother. Su-Hyeok probably just wanted a "quick" and "easy" hookup. Maybe Ji-Ah was being a little harsh. She couldn't bring herself to like him for some reason.

A soft summer breeze blew in Ji-Ah's long hair as she walked. It was the summer between Freshman and Sophomore year. She was headed to Woo-Jin's house. Ha-Ri was going to give both of them a ride to the beach. A beach bonfire party, actually.

"Hey, Mary!"

Of course, it was Gwi-Nam and his stupid friends. Son Myeong-hwan, Park Chang-hoon, and Lee Su-Hyeok. Back then, Su-Hyeok used to be friends with the bullies. Teasing everyone in his path. Drinking, smoking, partying, hooking up with random girls.

"Where you headed?" asked Myeong-Hwan, pulling her hair. Ji-Ah ignored the boy. Gwi-Nam walked next to her and wrapped his arm around her.

"You look sexy." He winks, looking her up and down. Ji-Ah was wearing a white cotton slip dress with her bikini under it. Nothing sexy. Gwi-Nam slides his hands on her shoulder, making the strap of her dress fall to her arm. He leans down and kisses her collarbone, trying to leave a hickey.

"She doesn't want to blow you Gwi-Nam!" Chang-Hoon tells his friend. "She wants me."

"Shut the fuck up, Chang-Hoon," Gwi-Nam spits. Chang-Hoon tries to hold the girl's hand, but Myeong-Hwan pushes him off, causing both to bicker.

"Hey, Su-Hyeok, don't act all shy now, man. We know you want to pound it, too."
