In the Lagoon Office Building, Carlos was sitting down on the couch with Benny, the two were watching From Dusk Till Down on VHS while waiting for any work to focus on. It wasn't the first time they watched the film, and they even gone through other films on several occasions, including Terminator 2: Judgement Day and Desperado.

With how much time passed on, Benny's blonde hair was trimmed shorter and he lose the ponytail, although it was more shaggier than before, almost like he had a mullet. His stubble was even more noticeable on his jawline, since the techie was hardly bothered about shaving his facial hair.

Benny: You think you can do that, Carlos?

Carlos: Do what?

Benny: That ricochet trick of yours on the chandelier? Could ya?

Carlos: Ha, when the opportunity calls for it, maybe...

Rather than watching the movie, Carlos seemed to be distracted by something else on his mind. Even when he would play on that GameBoy of his, he wouldn't even be too fixed on the monochromatic screen either.

Carlos: Man, it sucks there aren't many special times goin' on around town.

Benny: What's the matter, buddy? Sometimes, I keep seein' ya lookin' all bothered as hell. In fact, you've been like this for a while now.

Ever since he received a task from that CIA caller, Carlos had been worrying on what might happen to not just Roanapur, but also what could potentially happen to his friends and everyone in the firm. He had been trying his damndest to keep positive, even when it was difficult for him to brush past, especially since he had to look out for a Chinese spy he was informed about yesterday.

Knowing Benny was curious about his fellow colleague, Carlos had to come up with something to prevent him from finding out. The spy mission was not the only thing bothering him, since the memories of that intense event with Rock had been haunting over him for the past few months.

Carlos: It, uh... it's just that... since Rock had lost his mind a while back, I felt that sticking into innocent people's personal issues would only bring more trouble.

Benny: Why does that upset ya exactly?

Carlos: You should know, it's obvious. Those kinds o' jobs almost never turn out well for everyone, even for our clients.

Benny: I see... Rock used us all to satisfy his own personal goal, even goin' as far to threaten your life to shut ya up, just to ensure his plan would continue.

Carlos: I still remember the time he had me right close to those propeller blades. [shudders] Honestly, l thought he was gonna drop me...
