Currently in the lit up gymnasium of Meikō Junior High were the players of the Meikō basketball club, all sat around the court to see the second best match ever.
The best point guard against the best small forward, Ogiwara against Hikigaya.
"Hikki-kun! You better come with fire! Coz I'm not holding back!" Exclaimed Ogiwara as he walked onto the court with a look of anticipation.
"Who do you think will win this one?"
"Probably Hikigaya-sama."
"Yeah! He's never lost a match against even Momoharu-kun. That's saying something!"
"Ogiwara-kun's great, but he's not at the level of Momoharu, let alone Hikigaya."
As the chatter continued, the mentioned white haired boy walked onto the court.
"Let's do one on one first on a half court, then whoever wins that will get the first pick for a teammate in a five v five full court game." Spoke Hikigaya as he adjusted his hair with a friendly smile.
"Yeah! You're going down Hikki!" Exclaimed Ogiwara.
"Give your best effort." Replied Hikigaya.
"Okay. We'll do up to five. Inside the three point line equates to one point. Outside equates to two points." Hikigaya explained as Ogiwara nodded with a smirk.
"You start on offense." Ogiwara stated as he bounced the ball to Hikki, who caught it and stood still with a smirk, assessing the taller boy's defensive stance.
"You're defense really is robust, you may be more fundamentally sound than Momoharu-kun!" Hikigaya stated as he bounced the ball, deftly dribbling as he performed a quick hesitation move, to get the taller boy to react.
Much to Ryou's dismay, Ogiwara hadn't reacted to the hesitation as he edged closer.
Swiftly, the brown haired boy swiped at the ball.
Hikki smirked as he performed a swift spin move and drove to the basket, unguarded.
Ogiwara scrambled as he swiftly chased after the smaller guard.
Hikki jumped for a layup, however...
"Not so easy, Hikki-kun!" Exclaimed Ogiwara as the taller boy's arm was in position to block the ball.
"Good...More of that pressure, Shigehiro-kun..." Spoke Hikigaya as he swung past the outstretched arm, performing a swift reverse layup and swiftly let go of the ball after gaining a clear path.
Ogiwara widened his eyes as he watched the ball seamlessly travel through the net of the basket.

"How?!"
"What?!"
"Look at that circus shot!"
"This is our Captain at work!"
Ogiwara smirled uncontrollably as he recognised how tough the challenge ahead of him would be.
"Okay! Let's go again!" Ogiwara exclaimed as Hikigaya stood back in front of the taller boy.
Ogiwara bounce passed the ball towards Hikigaya as the white haired boy caught the ball before stepping back, outside of the three point line and releasing a quick release shot.
"Kuso!" Ogiwara exclaimed as he was late to contest and could only watch as the ball sinked the bottom of the basket.
"Yes Hikigaya-sama!"
"Finish him!"
"Ankle break!"
As Ogiwara retrieved the ball, he immediately lost all the emotion from his face and he looked as if he'd lost his concentration on the outside world.
However, Hikki could tell that the boy was simply tapping into his animal instincts.
'I need to match this, or I might lose. But let's see if I can compare against him without the King's Eyes.' Hikki thought as he observed Ogiwara, who passed the ball to him.
Hikki bounced the ball as Ogiwara followed the orange blur and swiftly reached in for the steal.
However, Ryouta performed a swift step back, seeing Ogiwara's balance off.
As he had predicted, the taller boy began to fall to the floor.
However, unlike anyone had anticipated, Ogiwara swiftly stood his ground, refusing to be outdone.
Hikigaya, seeing this, widened his eyes as the brown haired boy swiftly swiped the ball from the captain, taking control of the shorter boy's momentary shock.
Ogiwara grabbed the loose ball and with a few steps, he slammed the ball down, however, there was no emotion on his face, unlike earlier.
'What's this feeling? Is he, reaching the zone?' Momoharu thought with widened eyes as Hikigaya swiftly answered to the brown haired boy's boost by showing no emotion on his face.
'Wear your emotions on a sleeve.' His father's words echoed throughout his mind as Hikigaya caught the ball and passed it to the taller boy.
Ogiwara held the ball in a triple threat position as he swiftly ran past Hikigaya.
However, as he was running, he realised the ball was no longer within his grasp?
Everyone's eyes widened as they saw Hikigaya jumping for a mid range shot with the ball in hand.
Ogiwara couldn't even jump to contest in time due to the fast release of the shot.
Everyone watched as the ball seamlessly traveled through the net of the basket.
Ogiwara caught the basketball as he swiftly passed to Hikigaya, however, faster than he could react, the white haired boy was already inside the paint jumping high.
Everyone watched with bated breath as the sound of a powerful slam to the basket reverberated around the gymnasium, letting everyone know who was the victor of the 1-on-1.
Hikigaya dropped drown from the rim as he turned around to look at his friends.
"I obviously pick Hanazono." The boy said as Momoharu smirked while walking over to stant side by side with Hikigaya.
"Oh. We're picking already? Uhh, I pick. Masahiko-kun." Ogiwara stated, not even upset about the outcome, instead the boy was excited for the five v five.
"Reo." Spoke Hikki as the said boy walked over to his friends.
"Uhm. Well, Oh. Fukumoto-kun." Ogiwara stated as the elder boy walked over.
"Ikari, you're on mine." Spoke Hikki as Momoharu smiled. "Yes, we get Ika!" Momoharu exclaimed.
"Kazama-sama." Ogiwara stated.
"Hmm. Ken. We've got our teams sorted. Now. Let's get to playing." Hikigaya stated as the referee, a substitue player in the second string, threw the ball up for a jump ball.
