Taking A Risk..

My alarm clock rings loudly causing me to suddenly jump out of a deep sleep. I jump up looking around my well lit room as the sun beams from my half opened blinds as it lights up every corner of the room. I sigh deeply as I roll over flipping my phone over dreading getting out of bed. "Well here goes nothing." I get up, search my closet for the most comfortable clothes I can find and head to the bathroom to brush my teeth, shower and throw my hair up in a high bun. Lately I haven't really been feeling my appearance as much but others say I'm pretty blessed to be a brown-skinned with long hair that flows down to my shoulders and dark brown eyes but I disagree because it's a curse if you ask me. I rush out of the bathroom and throw on my baggy jeans and hoodie and shoes and grab my belongings and rush out of my dorm room. Walking with urgency I suddenly bump into another student. "Oh I'm sorry. Kinda in a rush for class. Im Savy and you are?" as Im met with a tall caramel colored guy with short dark hair who's grinning at me from ear to ear. "Liam, nice to meet you Savy but maybe you should slow down next time. You do look pretty familiar. I noticed you in Mrs. Reign's class. How do you like her so far? She can come off pretty aggressive." My cheeks light up as I hear her name but I just shrug and smile and proceed to continue walking to class. Liam chases behind me, "wait up, let me walk you. A beautiful girl like you shouldn't be walking out here alone on this big campus. You may get lost." I clear my throat as I mumble to myself "oh.. little does he know im far from interested in him. Let's just say my focus is elsewhere" I quickly approach the door to Mrs. Reign's classroom as I shoo Liam away. He walks in ahead of me walking to the far back corner of the room and have a seat. As I walk in Mrs. Reign looks up at me as she's sitting at her desk taking notes. Surprisingly, she doesn't speak to me though, I wonder what that could be about. I take a seat in the front of the room and place my backpack down and take out my notebook and pencil and lay it down. "Good morning class, I hope you all had a good nights sleep and are well rested and energized because you will be needing the energy today." she says as she writes today's lesson on the chalkboard. I lean back in my seat as I enjoy the view from behind and bite my bottom lip as I catch my breath looking around hoping nobody is paying attention to me totally eyeing her down. She then turns around and faces the class and stares directly at me causing me to jump in my seat. "Mrs. Savy, I would like to have a word with you after class today young lady. I didn't properly introduce myself the first day we met." I feel a hot sensation in my chest as I say "Yes ma'am no problem" while sitting up. We then proceed to take notes before she dismisses the class. Everyone jumps out of their seats and Liam walks by my desk placing a folded piece of paper on my desk as he looks back at me while exiting the class. I look at the piece of paper as Mrs. Reign closes the door behind her as everyone leaves. She then walks over to my desk and clears her throat, "receiving love notes in my class now are we?" I quickly rip the paper up, not even thinking twice about it, "No ma'am. I think he just wants a friend thats all" as I nervously look at her as her light brown eyes meet my dark brown eyes. Just inches apart she smiles and leans a little bit closer to me. My breathing is now becoming shallow and my heart is pounding out of my chest but I play it cool. "Sooo, whats up?" I say trying to break the silence. She leans up against her desk. Today she's wearing these nicely fit jeans that pull her curves together very well, a nice long sleeve blouse with the buttons nearly about to pop, and knee high boots. She moves her hair out of her face and tugs a few pieces behind her ears. "What brings you here Savy?" she quickly says in this serious tone. Not exactly what I was expecting but I chuckle as I reply with "Just here for an education really. Couldn't get that really where I came from so here I am plus I could use a nice getaway. Why'd you ask me that out of all questions though?" She folds her arms as she smiles and nods. "Ive been very curious of you since I saw you in the halls. A girl like you...." she pauses as she stands up and walks towards me leaning over my desk as her eyes meet mines once again. "A girl like me what? Doesn't belong here? Shouldn't be here? Just say it Mrs. Reign" I boldly say as I lean forward and rest my elbows on the desk. She grins and gives me this flirtatious expression and backs away. "Yes, correct. A girl like you shouldn't be here." I raise my eyebrows confused by her response but I brush it off. I then walk up to her and say, "Am I intimidating you? Does my brown skin and flowy hair make you nervous? Do I pressure you?" She looks at me skeptical as she tilts her head and laughs. "Me? Intimidated by a student? Never that but what I will say is that you are probably gonna enjoy this experience." I lean against the desk with my hand inches away from hers as I look down wondering if I should just hold her hand or not. We then make eye contact met by a few moments of silence as if we're trying to figure each other out. Suddenly she leans in and stares down at my lips and looks back up at my eyes. "I hope you enjoyed your second day in my class. I will be looking forward to seeing more of you." She gets up as she grabs her belongings and heads towards the door. I take a deep sigh as I feel my hands trembling as my palms start to get sweaty. I whisper to myself, "I should've just went for a kiss but thats silly of me. Kissing my professor. God Savy pull yourself together." I shake my head as I exit the classroom behind her. We head down the empty hallway as we head towards the exit. "Mind if I walk you to your car?" She looks at me as if im joking but politely says she doesn't mind. We head towards her car as I grip my backpack tightly trying to ignore the fact that my heart is still pounding from the previous moment. Once we reach her car she pulls out her keys but then drops them. We both lean down at the same time head budding each other. "Im so sorry, let me get those for you." She smiles and stares at me with this look in her eyes that Ive never seen before. As our hands meet on her keys I just lean in for a kiss. She pecks me but then quickly leans up and clears her throat. "Oh my goodness Savy where are my manners? That was so unprofessional. I swear it won't happen again." I look around the parking lot as I back up slowly hesitating if I should go for another kiss or head back to my dorm. "That was my fault, I guess I picked up the wrong message." She then opens her car door and gets in as she places her belongings in the passenger seat. "Let's just pretend it never happened, okay?" Nervously nodding I say "Yes ma'am." as I wish her a safe drive home and head back to my dorm room rushing inside leaning against the door as I feel that feeling in my heart, the "flames of desire."
