Lindy's POV
I already knew that Jasmine had feelings for Logan, and Logan had feelings for Jasmine. I just had to find a way to put them together. I thought that if I talked to Garrett I could get some ideas on how to just put them together without saying "you guys like each other now date". So I texted Garrett and told him to meet me after school at Rumble Juice to chat.

"Hey Garrett. So here's the deal. I'm just going to make this simple. JasminelikesLoganandLoganlikesJasminebuttheotherdoesn'tknow." I said really fast.
"Since when does Logan like Jasmine?" Garrett looked shocked.
"Since the dance." I stated.
"Wow! So what is the point of this? Just to inform me of it?" Garrett asked.
"No. I need you to help me figure how to put them together. Like, you know, they don't know that the other likes them so we need to pair them. I mean, they're a great match after all!" I exclaimed. I loved them together so much.
"I don't think they're that good together." Garrett said plainly, "I just don't think we should have relationships in our group."
"Why not? I'm all for it. I think that Jasmine and Logan spend a lot of time together and it's almost kind of inevitable. We all knew that someday it was going to come down to this." I explained.
"I know that. But Lindy...you just don't understand."
"What do you mean I don't understand?" I asked slightly offended.
"Listen, it's best we just not worry about this and go home." He looked very anxious.
"Garrett! Come on. I know something is up here."
"Fine. I feel like if Jasmine and Logan happened, that would encourage other couples in the group to happen, and I just don't think it will work." Garrett looked like he had admitted some, but not all, of what was on his mind.
"Any other reasons?"
"I don't want to keep this a secret anymore. Lindy, I like you. I've liked you since last year. You're just so smart, and so pretty, and we certainly have our ups and downs but even after my bicycle went missing, I couldn't stay mad at you for long. If we were to date, that would kind of kick Delia out of the group. And I love Delia as a friend. I wouldn't want her to leave." Garrett confessed.
I didn't know how to react. I had no clue what to say. Something about Garrett though made me feel good. He made me feel special. And somehow, I found myself leaning in to his lips. Our lips touched. As we kissed, I was trying to think about what Garrett was saying about Delia. But that didn't work. All I could think about was how I had slowly fallen in love with Garrett and hadn't realized it until now. We were always friends. We hung out a lot. Then we danced together at the school dance. After that, he admitted his feelings to me. And now we were making out in a public place...
"What in the world is going on here!?" Betty yelled. We both jumped and pulled away from the kiss, "I knew this would happen. Your crew is just turning into a bunch of lovebirds!" Totally ignoring what Betty said, Garrett put his arm around me. And I didn't pull it off, I just snuggling into him. This was odd because if you would have told me a year ago I would be sitting really close to Garrett, laying my head on his side, and having him put his arm around me, I wouldn't believe it. But I guess that's what has happened.
"It's complicated, Betty. Can we get some smoothies?" Garrett asked, still with his arm wrapped around me.
"I'll take a strawberry banana smoothie." I said smiling so big.
"I'll take the same." Garrett added. I stared up into his eyes. Why all of a sudden was I finding him so attractive?
"Lindy, you are so special. I really think we should date, but we have to keep it a secret." Garrett grinned.
"Why do we have to keep it a secret?" I asked.
"About the thing with Delia. If Jasmine and Logan get together, and we get together, then things just won't be the same. I'm totally up for dating, we just have to keep it quiet and not tell anyone for a while. We can still hang out, just don't be all couple-ish if we're around them." Garrett stated.
"I'm up for that." I said dreamily.
"I love you Lindy."
"I love you Garrett."
The bell to the door rang, and I could see Jasmine's shadow in the window. I quickly nudged Garrett and we scooted apart. I felt so giddy and so happy. I just didn't understand all of it. I think I had always liked Garrett, I just didn't want to admit it to myself.
"Hey guys. What's up?" Jasmine asked as she walked in.
"Nothing much. Just working on, um, homework. You?" I said, trying to play it cool.
"Awesome. I just got back from my pep club meeting." Jasmine grinned. She sat next to me.
"Sounds fun." Garrett added.
"I need to talk to you guys for a second." Jasmine said, getting more serious, "I broke up with Owen just so I could be with Logan. I want to hang out with him, without it being like a date."
"You know what? Us 3 will go to the bowling alley or something, and then I'll pretend like I got a text from Delia to go to her house and leave. How's that sound?" I suggested.
"I love it! I'll be over later tonight so we can work out the details. Anyway, I just wanted to stop by so I could talk to you guys. I have to go." Jasmine waved by and dashed out the door. The second she left, Garrett and I scooted closer again. It wasn't long before we were kissing. I just couldn't believe it. I never thought I liked Garrett, but he made me feel great. He made me feel more special than any other boyfriend of mine ever has, and we had only been dating for 15 minutes, if that.
Jasmine came running in, "I knew it! I thought I saw you guys all snuggled up when I walked by the window! I didn't have to leave, I just wanted to see if you guys started acting like a couple when I left! What is going on here?"
"Listen, Jaz, Garrett and I are dating. But you can't tell anyone! It's a secret." I explained.
"Why? When did this happen?" She asked, shocked.
"I'll explain later. Just don't say anything about it to Delia or Logan."
"Fine."
Garrett put his hands around my waist. For me being his first girlfriend, he sure was pretty smooth.
