Delia's POV
I was hanging out with Garrett at Rumble Juice. Lindy, Logan, and Jasmine had been gone for 4 days now, and it was getting pretty boring. Garrett returned to the couch and handed me my smoothie.
"What's wrong? You seem to be pretty down right now." I asked Garrett. He looked really upset.
"Oh, it's nothing." He looked down at the floor.
"Come on! I know it's not nothing."
"Fine. Yesterday, when I got done with my shift, I realized that Lindy had left her laptop here. I missed her so much, so I turned it on. She had a ton of new emails, and she was emailing back and forth with this guy named Liam from Paris. I was so upset because they were both totally flirting and talking about how much they were hanging out! I got mad and just left the laptop there and went home." Garrett looked like he was about to start crying.
"It's okay, I'm not exactly the happiest right now either." I instantly was upset at myself. I was sad, but no one was supposed to know why! Why did I just say that!?
"Why, what happened?" Garrett looked concerned.
'Um, my room is getting redone and um, the walls aren't a great color..." I lied.
"C'mon Deels. I know that's not the reason. I opened up to you, now you open up to me!" Garrett knew me so well.
"Fine. I like Logan, and I'm upset that he's back together with Jaz. But I get it. Why would Logan want me when he could have Jasmine? Any guy would take Jasmine over me." It was the truth. Who would?
"Delia, I don't think that's true at all. I would take you over Jaz."
"Really? You mean that?" I asked.
"Yeah. Jasmine is gorgeous on the outside, but you have an inside that Jaz can't even compete with. I'm not saying that she's a bad person, but beauty isn't just skin deep, and you are a really good person Deels." He explained.
"Thanks. That means a lot." I grinned.
"I only speak the truth. You're awesome." Garrett looked really happy.
"You think so? Even after I manipulated you to get car rides from you and all that stuff?" I still felt bad about that.
"You made it right. And you never have to prove to me that you're a good person. I know that already." I blushed as he said that.
"You know, you've made me feel a lot better about the whole situation with Logan."
"Well, I feel better about the thing with Lindy."
"You know how we were being all honest with each other?"
Garrett nodded.
"Well, can I continue with that?" As I asked, Garrett nodded.
"I really feel like kissing you right now." It was weird to be honest like that, but it was the truth, no matter how strange it was.
"Me too-"
"But you can't. Because of Lindy. I know." I interrupted.
"Actually, I was going to say we should. Who's ever going to know?" Garrett shrugged his shoulders, "Let's just do it!" So, we leaned in and it wasn't long before we were kissing. Maybe Logan didn't seem as great after all...
