Things in the house are tense he wonders how they got here they were happy at some point and everything changed for the worst ,him having an affair with his PA for over 2 years and now they are expecting a baby he didn't think that he's affairs would catch up with him he's sitting in his house and everything is quiet the kids know what's happening actions speak louder than words they don't even share a room together it's that draining because he couldn't keep his zip up he just had to do it , eating a forbidden fruit that isn't his wife he knows what he did and he's taking accountability Noxolo his wife had stayed by his side even at his lowest and the only way to say thank you is getting another woman pregnant. 20 years of marriage everything was fine and smooth he sees his wife she's not the same anymore she's just a shadow of herself and he knows that he's the cause not forgetting his children they see everything this has taken a toll on them he's life is a mess what did he do?the house is so empty, Noxolo wants a divorce and he knows that he can't live without her,and he is in love with both of them. He's deep in his thoughts when he's son Ntuthuko the oldest walks in their relationship at this point is hanging on the thin tread,he looks at his father and walks away probably heading to the kitchen. He's going to ask if hoe he feels about the divorce, "ntu?" He calls out Ntuthuko looks at him and focuses on the meal he's making he's hungry and that's because of the weed he smoked at school everyone knows Ntuthuko is a heavy smoker and it became worse because his father decided to bring a third party into their family he doesn't hate the third party he hates the person who brought the third party as well. He looks at him and you can see the amount of hate he has for his father he feels like punching him in the gut and he doesn't like how this man likes to pester him for a conversation he hates this man can't he see that?"what? Ufunani wena nja?" That alone sends daggers straight to Mthandeni's heart,he's defeated he's knows his dad is the most feared but that respect flew out the window when he found out that he's the cause of the divorce. "I know you're angry but that doesn't give you the right to say all that shit to me angiyona intanga yakho, nathi asisibo abangani, qonda lokho futhi ukuthole ngogebhezi lwakho olujiyile.(I'm not your age mate,we are not friend's either,understand that and get that through your thick skull) he can feel himself getting worked up and that's not good for him someone's gonna get hurt now if Ntuthuko doesn't thread carefully. They sit down Mthandeni takes a deep breath he's exhausted no amount of cigarettes can give him the sleep he wants he's literally a dead man walking. Ntuthuko doesn't seem fazed either he's angry he can feel it and that alone makes him sober up "we are going to talk like 2 matured adults and we are grown and I've taught you how to have a proper conversation,I know whatever is happening right now you probably blame and I am very much accountable for my actions I love your mom and Yanda together but truth be told Yanda doesn't want to marry me and your mom wants to divorce the whole divorce topic I don't even know how it started and it's draining me I know you don't believe me and I'm stupid for actually letting your mom get the divorce but I won't let her go and I'm going to win over her again and get her to love me again." Ntuthuko is looking at him speaking he feels so bad right now because he knows he literally has no say in his parents affairs, they've talking and catching up and realizing they missed this they are each other's best friends even though he's mistaken for a mommy's boy he's a daddy's little boy as well he loves both his parents"your rolling game is weak, what the hell is this?" Mthandeni asks because Ntuthuko doesn't know how to roll a joint properly they are laughing their lungs out because it's the truth, Mthandeni laughs and looks at his son "Ntu? I know I never get to tell you this but I love you boyzin, you're the one how made me a son." Ntuthuko smiles they both know they love each other enough it may sound gay and absurd. Mthandeni looks around the house he knows what to do get his house and wife in order and deal with Yanda and grant her wishes. He smiles and goes to his room his happy that his kids are laughing and updating him about their day he's even more excited to see his baby girl yes he loves his sons but his daughter is his happy and safe place.
