Rihaan's pov

It's almost half past eleven till the time I get fresh and free with my work. It's hectic, my life. Achieving success at a young age is not easy and everyone tells you that but maintaining that success is much more difficult and no one warns you about it. There are thousands of pairs of eyes on you just to see you fail and judge you on the basis of it, make numerous rumors and assumptions about it.

I don't hate my life, I love my work and family. Owe everything I am today to them but for a while now there was something missing in my life. A drive. Something new.

And that came with my need for revenge. I never planned on taking it but when the opportunity presented itself, I couldn't help it.

That reminds me I have to message Kiara about the details.

Me: Tomorrow lunch with my family. I'll come to pick you up, we'll match our stories and timeline then.

It's already been 10 minutes since I messaged her. Didn't I tell her I would message her before midnight? Why isn't she online then? Where is here time management? I am tired, I want to sleep but no in maharani ka wait karo.

My phone pings after another 20 minutes and I wake up from my half sleep state of mind.

Mrs. Roy: FAMILY? I thought tomorrow was just supposed to be us! I don't even know you right now and you expect me to meet your family?

When I had given her my phone to save her number she had saved her name as Kiara. I changed her name to Mrs. Roy as soon as I sat in my car.

'Aese lete hai badla?' No, this name change was just because Kiara felt too personal. Nothing else. I don't have feelings for her, it's been years. 'Han, Mrs. Roy to bahut impersonal hai, mhhmm. I hate this voice.

Mrs. Roy: Hello???

Me: They want to meet you. Only after then Dadaji will give his decision.

Mrs. Roy: Okay, it's not like I have a choice.

Me: You did. And you decided to go along with me.

Mrs. Roy: My options were limited Mr. Roy. Don't flatter yourself that much

Me: Excuses.

Mrs. Roy: not in the mood to argue

And I thought the conversation was over until she texted again. Why does she want to keep talking to me? I don't want to talk to her. Can she not realise that?

Mrs. Roy: so I am meeting your grandparents and your parents right?

Me: And some more of my family.

Mrs. Roy: Are you always this vague?

Me: Yes.

Mrs. Roy: You better not behave like this tomorrow while planning our story

Me: I am like this only. I will behave how I want to. You are not here to change me.

She starts typing something but then stops. Weirdo. Then starts again.

Mrs. Roy: can you not chat like a normal person?

Me: What do you mean?

Mrs. Roy: Like you typed what do you mean pura instead of just typing wdym and and look at you using commas and full stops like omg

Me: It hasn't even been a day since you have met me and you have problems with me already?

Mrs. Roy: Jaani dushmani hai, koi dikat?

Me: Hogi toh ruk jaygi tu?

Mrs. Roy: Ms. Grover se tu pr aagye aap Mr. Roy? Bahut jaldi mood nahi badalte aapke?
