ms. scrubbit grinned at you and willy evilly as the three rival chocolatiers stood together. first, mr. slugworth stepped forward.
"mr. Wonka. i will assume you do not know who this fine lady is." he said, smirking smugly at you.
"of course i do! this is y/n!" willy smiled, putting an arm around you.
mr. slugworth exchanged looks with you, then looked at mr. fickelgruber.
you looked down at your shoes, then at willy.
"y/n..?" he said, drawing his arm from your side.
you looked up into his eyes, then down at your feet once more. willy looked at the chocolatiers as mr. fickelgruber stepped forward aside mr. slugworth.
"willy, this is my daughter. y/n fickelgruber." he said, tilting his head mockingly at you.
willy stepped away from you.
"willy, wait-" you reached a hand out for him. you genuinely weren't happy with your life as a fickelgruber. you should belong to willy. willy saw the true pain in your eyes as he removed himself from your side and immediately locked eyes with you. he then returned back to you, engulfing you within his arms for a hug.
" i don't care. y/n, I really care about you."
you were struck by him not minding about your relation with the chocolate cartel member, and closed you eyes tightly, hugging him back. mr. fickelgruber glared at you fatally as he grabbed your arm, pulling you away from willy. you tried to resist, but you couldn't.
mr. slugworth then approached willy.
"mr. Wonka, I will give you a choice." he said, taking a briefcase and grazing his hand over the leather cover of it. willy couldn't keep his eyes off of you.
" i want whichever choice that allows me to be with y/n." he said, starting to walk to you, but mr. slugworth grabbed his arm and pulled him back.
"well, that's neither." he said, shrugging. he put an arm around willy, guiding him out the doors and past you and your father. your father held you closely, assuring you didn't escape to willy.
"you can either stay and be a prisoner of scrubbit's forever... or you can leave this place permanently and this suitcase full of currency will be to bail you and the rest of the cleaning crew out of scrubbit's. that means noodle and y/n will be free to go."
"why would y/n need it? her father is mr. fickelgruber. wouldn't he bail her out?" willy said, perplexed.
mr. fickelgruber laughed maliciously, clicking his tongue.
"oh, no, no, no! why would I ever bail out such a disgrace to the fickelgruber family? she deserves every bit of punishment, that is, unless you decide to leave forever..." mr. fickelgruber smiled, as did mr. slugworth.
willy looked at you, you looked at him. you began to feel salt streams pour down your cheeks like a rapid waterfall down rigid rocks. willy felt empathy for you, as you were visibly crushed.
"I'll leave." willy said.
"you will?" mr. slugworth and mr. fickelgruber said in harmony.
" i will."
"so, is it a deal?" mr. slugworth held a hand out for a handshake. willy ultimately nodded and shook his hand. you tried to break free from mr. fickelgruber's grip on your arm.
"no!" you yelled in tears. willy looked at you, and walked away into the midst of the plaza alongside mr. slugworth.
mr. slugworth gave you a mischievous grin as he took away your one true love.
but, you weren't giving up that easily.
