Emily knew they should have been called to New York way before this. 5 shootings in 2 weeks was a lot. She also knew that the head of the New York field office was a woman named Kate Joyner. Emily had met her once before, at Scotland Yard. She didn't like the woman much, and had a feeling she didn't like her either.

There was something about these killings that set her off. It was efficient, clean, but not mob killings, the victims had no ties. It was almost like what she used to see at JTF, but no it was very unlikely. She knew the gun used was a 22., which was what Mossad uses for their assassinations. It was unlikely, but the way this was going, she was going to end up giving Ziva or Ari a call.

It was once they were on the plane that Hotch mentioned Kate Joyner. This would be a problem if those two knew each other personally. Kate knew about Emily's past, and she wouldn't put it past her to go yelling out the truth. She had called him directly, meaning that she wasn't able to cooperate with the NYPD and wanted a set of eyes on her side.

.

When they walked in, the first thing JJ mentioned was that she looked like Hayley, Hotch's ex-wife. Now, Emily had never been properly introduced to her, but she had seen glimpses of her at the superbowl, but even that had been cut short when they were called in for a case, where Reid was taken. Now that she thought about it, Kate did bear some resemblance to Hayley.

When Hotch introduces them, there is a flash of recognition then annoyance, in Joyners eye when they see Emily, but Emily was surprised when the same occurred when she saw Morgan. Now she was sure they hadn't met before, Morgan's comments on the plane proved that.

Emily had heard rumours that Kate would be forced to step down from Head of Office. She knew for a fact that she wasn't doing her job well, especially with the cooperation with the NYPD. But why the face at Morgan. The only thing was that his name had to be the one who would replace her.

When the NYPD detectives come through, things start to get heated. Emily is sure of her point now, that Kate had asked them to run everything back through her. She wanted her name on this, and no one else.

.

Kate led Hotch through to her office. Through the window she could see Emily Prentiss and Derek Morgan.

She shut the door and faced Aaron. Leaning against her desk she said, "What can you tell me about Emily Prentiss and Derek Morgan?"

"Why?" Hotch says

"I need this case solved or else I will be forced to step down. Emily Prentiss and Derek Morgan are the top 2 candidates to replace me" Kate already knew about Emily, she just didn't know what this team knew about her. Once she does she can play it to her advantage.

.

The newest murder was a problem. They left a Tarot card at the scene. Which was the same card D.C sniper left at one of his scenes. Emily should know the JTF if the one who caught them after all. Though officially the FBI caught him, that's why they are sending the message to them, here, now.

She was standing with Morgan and Hotch when Morgan said, "Why am I getting heat from her?"

He sighed then said, "If she doesn't solve this case the brass will be reassigning her, and you two are on the top of the list to replace her"

"Me?" they both said

Hotch shrugged, "Your good at your job, people notice"

.

Emily knew it was terrorism when they found out there were more than one unsub. Emily just had to get the team to realise that without her saying it.
