Hermione paced in her room. There was a grand four-post bed painted white. The only source of light was a chandelier that she was almost positive was made purely of glistening diamonds and crystals. There was a hologram type screen, kind of like a tv, that showed the news about the tributes. It played the choosing of the tributes with side commentary from Garnet Pinstrup, who Miss Pulchra had said would be the one interviewing all the tributes and talking during the games to the viewers, and Forman Lanster, who would also be talking to the viewers. Hermione wanted to grab that fancy chandelier and throw it in their faces.
There was a knock at the door. "Come in," Hermione said. A man entered the room. "Hello, Miss Granger. My name is Dylan. I'll be your stylist." He walked around her. "So, tonight is the tribute parade, and being Gryffindor, you'll need something gold and red." He clapped his hands and a teenage girl walked in and handed him a set of neatly folded clothes and left. He showed Hermione what she was wearing. "Everyone will be wearing their uniform, except that it'll be tweaked a bit." It was a simple black dress, that looked like the uniform, except that is was connected. Instead of a tie, she was given a red and gold scarf. Dylan stepped back and looked at her in her outfit. He nodded. "Looks good. Now, let's work on what you're doing for the parade."
........................
Harry could hear the loud cheers of the crowd from the training center. He stood by the Gryffindor float with his stylist, Marina, waiting for Hermione and Katie. He was wearing a black suit with a black and gold tie. His stylist had unsuccessfully tried to tame his unruly black hair. Looking around, he saw the Slytherin tributes talking with the Durmstrang tributes. Were they making an alliance. If they were, that would be bad news. Durmstrang worked on dark arts and combined with Slytherin would be a disaster. He looked at the other tributes. The Beauxbatons tributes were just leaning against their float, talking and making butterflies come on of their wands. There weren't any Hufflepuff kids and for Ravenclaw, he only saw Luna. He walked over to her. She smiled at him, as dreamily as always, despite what was going on. "Hello, Luna," he said. "I'm sorry you had to come here, too." She shrugged. "A fourth year offered for some reason to take my place. But I didn't let her. I think I'm a little more advanced than she is. I couldn't let her come." Harry was surprised that a fourth year would offer, but not that Luna would be brave enough to decline the fourth year's offer.

"Oh, well that was very noble of you, Luna," Harry nodded at her. "And now that you're here, would you like to make an alliance with Hermione and me?" Luna brightened. "Oh, I'd love to!" She looked over his shoulder. "I think we're going to start soon; the rest of the Ravenclaw tributes are coming and all the stylists here seem anxious." Harry turned. "Oh, right then, I'll see you later, Luna." He walked over to the Gryffindor float where Hermione and Katie were waiting. "Where were you?" Hermione asked. "Talking to Luna; she's still the same, even in the midst of this scene." Harry gestured with his hands. "Are we starting this yet?" Katie asked, nervously. Her stylist nodded. "Come on, everyone on the float, wands out. You all know the spells, right?" Harry, Hermione, and Katie nodded. "And in case anything is set on fire, you know the water spell, right?" Marina asked. Hermione frowned and turned to her stylist. "You didn't mention that. Is it likely to catch on fire?" "Er...no?" Hermione was not reassured.
They stepped onto the float. "The float will move by itself. All you need to do is stand there. And perform your spells. Oh, and make sure to smile," Katie's stylist reminded them. "Oh yeah. Why wouldn't we be smiling at people waiting for us to die?" Katie muttered. The stylists didn't hear her.

The music started and the float started to move. The Gryffindor float was the third float in the parade. "Ready?" Hermione murmured. The three of them started to murmur the spells. And fireworks appeared. First, they appeared in the shape of the Gryffindor crest. Then, it spelled out the words, Gryffindor: the brave and chivalrous. The fireworks circled around the float in the sky. The crowd cheered. The three grabbed each others' hands and held them in the air. When the floats all got to the end of the street, Remedy Malum stepped up to the balcony above. When she spoke her voice was magnified. "Welcome! Welcome everyone to the first ever Wizarding Games! What a wonderful parade wasn't it?" The crowds cheered louder. "Okay, so our tributes will have three days before they are put in the arena after today. On the third day, there will be an interview at night with each of the tributes. On end of the second day, they will demonstrate their skills to our amazing Gamemakers!" The Gamemakers waved and everyone clapped. "And now, I say good night!" Remedy Malum stepped back and the floats turned back to the training center.
