two days later

'Thanks for coming in on such short notice.' Emily said, joining you all in the roundtable room.

You looked across the table at Tara who pulled a face at Emily's appreciation.

'We need to get boarded on the jet pretty soon so Garcia, if we could keep it brief.' Emily suggested.

'Yes Chief.' Garcia barked back. 'Fifteen victims so far.'

'Fifteen?!' Luke remarked.

'Alvez, please don't interrupt her.' Emily requested.

'Sorry Chief.' Luke replied, embarrassed as the rest of the team shuffled in their seats awkwardly.

'Uh... yeah.' Garcia stuttered. 'Fifteen victims, a mixture of men, women and children. Six families in total, all of which had a bomb planted in their cars. Our Unsub is highly skilled, potentially military, and highly organised.'

'We're headed to Seattle to join terrorism in finding this guy.' Emily told you all. 'So far the six bombs have gone off within a four hour time window, so there's no saying how many more our Unsub has planted, or is planting as we speak.'

'Terrorism are so preoccupied with the bombings, they need us to pick up the slack with the profile.' Rossi assumed. 'Yeah, we know the drill.'

Garcia pulled her phone up and checked it quickly.

'The jet is ready whenever you are.' She told Emily. 'I can update you with any news as and when it comes.'

'Thanks Garcia, good work.' Emily replied. 'Team, let's try and get boarded in the next five minutes. Time is of the essence here.'

'Yes, Chief.' JJ replied, as you all rose from your seats in a hurry.

As you walked around the table you briefly pressed your hand on Garcia's arm as you passed her, winking at her as she smiled to herself at Emily's compliment.

'Do any of these families have anything in common?' Rossi asked.

'Not that we can tell just yet.' Emily replied as you all sat around her on the jet flicking through your tablets. 'Different jobs, kids in different schools, some without kids at all.'

'It's like a pick 'n' mix.' Tara remarked. 'Other than living in the same city, there really doesn't seem to be anything that connects these six families, does there?'

'There'll be something.' JJ piped up. 'There's always a connection somewhere.'

'Our role when we get there is to profile this guy only. This isn't our case, it's terrorism's. We're just there to help.' Emily informed you all.

'Got it.' Tara replied.

By the time you'd reached Seattle, another car bomb had gone off half a mile from the last one. As emergency services rushed out to the scene, you and the team sat pulling together all the information on the victims as you could.

'This is impossible.' Luke exclaimed. 'There's nothing connecting these people.'

'Just because we haven't found it yet doesn't mean it isn't there.' You reminded him. 'It could be something tiny, like they all shop at the same store, or get their clothes dry cleaned at the same place.'

'Y/l/n's right.' Emily agreed. 'I need you all to keep looking.'

At that, everyone picked up their tablets or turned back to their boards as they searched the victims' records. Emily walked over to you and perched on your desk.
