"OK, can I do anything to help?" You asked cautiously after a moment. He looked you up and down, then smiled.

"Sure." His voice was still firm even though his face was cheery.

"So what evidence do you have already?" You asked, ready for answers.

"You were the first of your friend group to be questioned." At least he was being honest.

"Ah, alright. When will you question the others?" You started to calm down a little, knowing you weren't in trouble.

"Well, after your questioning, I was going to go find Torin Sutton and question him. Then so on and so forth." He passed his notebook across the small metal table that was bolted to the floors. You read his notebook, noticing the neat handwriting and neat notes;

[Y/N] [L/N]

4 pm 3 days ago; Leaving mall with 2 of 3 friends.

Noticed the victim was missing that afternoon as they left

Names of suspects: [Y/N] [L/N], Torin Sutton, Jamie Parker

Name of victim: Aster Dahlia

Suspect made a terrified expression after news of victim, slightly suspicious but believed innocent

"Really?" You mentally take note of what he wrote as you pass the notebook back to him.

"There wasn't much evidence at the crime scene, but I was able to get your name. In Aster's purse, there was your school ID. What grade are you kids in?" He looked at you with his pen in hand waiting to write what you say.

"We're all Sophomores at Fumihito-Hawks High," The cop wrote it down.

"Just a small question," He paused, waiting for you to reply.

"Shoot," Your voice became more laid-back and tired.

He looked at you as he thought about his question. "Can you tell if your friends are lying or not?"
