"What...?" His voice staggers.

"There was a call, I-" He pushed you into the wall.

"This is your fault."

"What? Torin, no-"

"Shut the fuck up [Y/N]. You recommended we go to the mall. Now Aster is dead, and Jamie is missing. It should've been you." He lets go of you and leaves, crying silently. You stand there, shocked. You want to chase after him, but you know that will just lead to more fighting. You walk out of the police station and go home.

"How was your day, honey?" Your mother was baking something, as she always does.

"It was fine, mom. Please stop calling me 'honey' I'm sixteen." You tried not to sound annoyed with her. She put whatever she was making in the oven, cleaned her hands, and walked up to you.

"[Y/N], what's wrong?"

"Nothing-"

"Don't lie to me. You're my child, I can tell when you're upset." You feel your tears well up and let them out, you hug your mother while sobbing.

"[Y/N], what happened?"

"Aster, mama..." You tried so hard to keep it in at the police station, but it was all too much. Aster, dead. Jamie, missing. Torin hates you... You couldn't take it anymore. "Aster, she's- dead..." You quietly cry in your mother's arms.

"Oh honey," She hugs you tightly. "She's in a better place now..."

"Jamie is missing too-"

"Someone will find them,"

"Torin hates me!" You yell at your mother as you shove yourself out of her arms.

"He will forgive you"

"No he wont, mama. I screwed up-"

"You couldn't have seen this coming, [Y/N]. It isn't your fault."

"How do you know? I asked them if we could go to the mall and Aster never came home! Her parents are probably devastated, Jamie's dad is worried sick and even their mother is looking for them! Torin is blaming me and-"

"[Y/N]! Please, honey, calm down!" Your mother holds your shoulders. "You're having a panic attack," Your mother tries to calm you down for the next hour, then you go to your room and sit on the floor next to your bed. You cry for a while, you try to listen to music to calm yourself down. You succeed at calming down finally and check the clock. 02:15 AM. Two in the morning, great. You change into pajamas and practically fall into your bed. You fall asleep in minutes.
