Chapter 6 (The Offer)

Sana's POV

It's a normal day at school when the dean suddenly called me to her office.

I was expecting to get scolded about something, but I was surprised that Mrs. Chou and Mr. Chou was there with the dean. To my surprise, My parents are also there.

"I'll leave you all for a while." The dean said and left her office.

I looked at everyone in the room and they let me sit next to my mom.

"We've talked about something with your parents, Sana..." Mrs. Chou said.

"What is it?" I asked my mom.

"I know you've been very focused with your studies ever since you were young, and we are so proud of you being the consistent valedictorian of your batch... But we're worried that you might grow old alone..." Mom said.

"And ever since I saw you in that event for the board passers, I've been thinking about my son for you..." Mrs. Chou said.

"Tzuyu?" I asked.

"Yes... We want the two of you to get married... He's a responsible person, and I know he can take care of you, my dear." Dad said.

"But... We're still in College..." I said.

"After your graduation, you two will get married." Mr. Chou said.

"How about him? He's still a second year next year..." I said.

"His name wouldn't change, so there's nothing to worry about." Mr. Chou said.

"But you, my dear... You're going to be Mrs. Chou... That's why we planned that the wedding day after your graduation." Mom said.

"Do I have a choice here?" I asked my parents and they shook their heads.

"Is Tzuyu aware of this?" I asked.

"Not yet... But we're going to tell him..." Mrs. Chou said.

"I know you're scared, but trust us... You'll be in good hands..." Dad said.

I didn't have a choice but to nod and I left them having a great time about our arranged marriage.

I'm happy that I'm going to get married to Tzuyu... Who wouldn't? He's perfect. But I'm worried about what other people will say when I get married that fast after graduation.

Knowing that a lot of guys tried to court me, but I didn't entertain them. And after graduation, I'll be a Chou... Their family is very well known in the city, and only a few of the people here are Chou. Meaning, if you're Chou, you are related to them.
It's an honor to be his wife, but I don't think he would want the same.
