Chapter 7 (The Other Woman)

Tzuyu's POV

It's been days since I saw Sana in school, Mina and Momo said she's going to school, but she usually goes back to their dorm after their classes.

It's already late and the last subjects for the night classes just ended. I got a call from mom that I should go to Dad's office in school, so I immediately gathered my things and went to his office.

I was surprised that Mom was just waiting at the lobby of his office, and a bruise on her cheek was the first thing I saw.

"Who did that?" I asked.

"I just bumped into the door earlier..." She said.

"Don't lie... Who did that?" I asked again.
She shook her head and looked down on her feet.

"Did Dad do that?" I asked.

"Don't be mad at him, please." She said and a tear fell on her cheek.

"I can't promise." I said and went into his office.

"Tzuyu..." He said and pushed her woman away from him.

"Really? Dad? After what I said... You still didn't do anything?" I asked him.

"I know, Tzu..." Mom said as she pulled my arm.

"If mom can forgive you... Know that I can't..." I said and left the office.

I can hear mom calling me, but I don't want to talk to anyone right now.

"Tzuyu! Will you listen to your mother!" Mom shouted.

"And tell me what mom? Tell me that I shouldn't be mad at him? No! I've told him to leave us or leave her! And I'm not taking any explanation anymore!" I said.

"Tzuyu..." She said.

"I'm sorry... But I want some time for myself..." I said and kissed her forehead before running away.

I didn't know I was already in the chapel when I stopped walking and all I could do was to cry on one of the pews.

"Tzuyu?" I heard a familiar voice from behind.

I wiped my tears and put on a smile before looking at her.

"Sana..." I said.

"What's wrong?" She asked worriedly and sat down beside me.

I just shook my head and cried harder.

She hugged me tight and wiped my tears.

"Tzuyu!" Dad's angry voice echoed all over the chapel.

We both looked at him and he was pointing a gun towards me.

"That's what you're great at, right? Playing dirty?" I said while pulling Sana behind me.

"Don't you think it's not hard for me? Didn't you think about my happiness? I'm trying to fix our family!" He said.

"But you made it worse!" I said.

"Because you didn't listen! Do you think I want you to be an engineer?! I'm trying to have a successor! And that's the only thing I want! But you didn't listen!" He shouted.

"I did everything you asked for! I can be a successor even if I'm not a business major!" I said.

"But you're failing!" He said.

"Does it really matter? Dad? Don't lie to me... I know you're blaming my choice of courses because you don't want to tell the truth... That you really cheated on mom..." I said.

He stayed silent and mom tried to calm him down.

"The only way for me to forgive you is to tell mom if you really love us or you love your mistress more than us... That's the only condition for me to accept you to be my dad again... If you can't do that, then I'm taking mom away from you..." I said.

"Dad... Please..." Mom pleaded while trying her best to avert the gun off my direction.

"Love me..." The mistress said from the door.

Dad pointed the gun down, but accidentally pulled the trigger.

I felt a pain in my lower left torso and saw that my shirt was getting soaked with my own blood.

"Tzuyu?" I heard Sana said while I was trying my best to stay still.

I collapsed on the floor but Sana was fast enough to catch my upper body to prevent me from hitting my head on the ground.

"Tzuyu!" Mom shouted and ran towards me.

"Tzuyu... I'm so sorry..." Dad then held my hand tight and cried.

"Dad... Tell mom everything she needs to know... Please..." I said while gasping for air.

"Help me, Tzu... I don't want this..." He cried.

"I will... Tell mom everything..." I said and looked at Sana.

"Tzuyu..." She softly said and her tears started falling.

"Sana... Wait for me... To wake up... I promise I'll fight..." I said.

She nodded and kissed my forehead.

"Mom... I'm going to be okay..." I smiled at her.

"Don't close your eyes..." She said

"I'm tired..." I said.

"I know... Stay with us..." She said and kissed my forehead.

I tried my best to stay awake, but I passed out before the ambulance came.
